The Falcons worked with Cousins on Tuesday to restructure the veteran quarterback's contract by modifying the final two years of the deal to give Atlanta more cap flexibility and incentivize a release sooner rather than later, as Cousins would be slated to get $67.9 million guaranteed were he to be on the roster at the start of the league year. That leaves the Falcons with questions over who they will add to their quarterback room with Michael Penix (knee), while Cousins contemplates joining a team in 2026, including a reunion with the Vikings, per Alec Lewis of The Athletic. Cousins appeared in 10 regular-season games (eight starts) with Atlanta in 2025, when he completed 61.7 percent of his passes for 1,721 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Johnson has been active through the Patriots' entire playoff run as Terrell Jennings (hamstring) remains on injured reserve. Johnson will act as a depth piece behind running backs Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson. The 29-year-old had just two snaps on special teams (both kick returns) during the Patriots' 10-7 win over the Broncos in the AFC Championship Game and could see a similar role for the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Wiley finished the 2025 regular season with one reception for four yards in five games.

Wiley struggled to see the field for the Chiefs in 2025 as Travis Kelce, Noah Gray and Robert Tonyan were all ahead on the depth chart. Wiley played just 52 total snaps (28 offensive and 24 on special teams) as the No.4 tight end. The 25-year-old has two more seasons under contract with Kansas City heading into 2026.

Tonyan finished the 2025 regular season with one reception for one yard in 17 games.

Tonyan signed with the Chiefs' active roster in late August after previously signing to their practice squad. The 31-year-old spent the majority of the season as the No.3 tight end behind Travis Kelce and Noah Gray. Tonyan is set to hit free agency, where he'll likely compete for a depth role once again.

Strange finished the 2025 season with 46 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games.

Strange became the number one tight end for the Jaguars in 2025 after Evan Engram signed with Denver in free agency. In his expanded role, Strange set a career-high in receiving yards and touchdowns (540 yards and three touchdowns) despite missing five games due to a hip injury that landed him on injured reserve. The 25-year-old will look to build on his career season entering 2026.

Murray logged 54 tackles (32 solo), including 1.0 sacks, six pass defenses (one interception) and one forced fumble across 12 regular-season games for the Jaguars in 2025.

EDGE Analysis

Murray inked a three-year, $22.5 million contract with the Jaguars in 2025 after spending the five prior seasons with the AFC South rival Texans. He served as the Jaguars' starting safety, but he was sidelined for five games after being placed on injured reserve in October due to a neck injury. Murray was cleared to return in early November and returned to his starting role over the final six games of the season, including the Jaguars' AFC wild-card loss to the Bills. He should start at safety in 2026, though who will start next to him remains to be seen as Andrew Wingard will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

Tuten finished the 2025 season with 307 yards and five touchdowns on 83 rushing attempts. He also had 10 catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns in 15 regular-season games.

When available, the fourth-round rookie carried the ball in every game he appeared in during the season, with his most impactful game occurring in Week 11, when he had 15 attempts. Mullens completed all three of his passing attempts for 19 yards while appearing in five games for the Jaguars in 2025. He also had 12 rushing attempts for minus-8 yards.
