Orr (neck) announced in The Players' Tribune on Friday that he will not come out of retirement.
EDGE Analysis
After Orr announced his retirement in January of 2017 due to a congenital neck/spine condition, he explored the possibility of returning to the football field earlier this summer. Ultimately, he decided that it was not worth the risk, and he will stay away from football. Orr had a breakout 2016 season in which he recorded 132 tackles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

Orr (neck) said he is exploring the possibility of coming out of retirement, NFL.com's Mike Garafolo reports.
EDGE Analysis
Orr announced his retirement in January after doctors told him he has a congenital spinal condition which makes him much more vulnerable to major head/neck injuries. He accepted the news at first, but he's since sought out second opinions, with several doctors telling him there is no evidence he's at any more risk than a player with a fully formed spine. If he does decide to play, the 25-year-old linebacker would be an unrestricted free agent, as he was previously set to be a restricted free agent and the Ravens didn't place him on their reserve/retired list. Orr arguably would be the top player still available on the open market, coming off a breakout 2016 season in which he had 132 tackles, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble in 15 games. The Ravens could still use help at inside linebacker, but Orr might be out of their price range after the team signed Jeremy Maclin.

Orr (neck) announced he is retiring from the NFL due to a congenital neck/spine condition.
EDGE Analysis
Devastating news for the Ravens, as Orr was one of the best up-and-coming linebackers on the team. Before suffering the neck injury in Week 16, the linebacker had tallied 133 tackles, five pass deflections, three interceptions, and one forced fumble on the season. His sudden retirement leaves the Ravens with a massive hole in their linebacking corp that may look to fill through either the draft or free agency this offseason. In three season in the league, Orr recorded 163 tackles, one sack, six pass deflections, three interceptions, and one forced fumble through 46 games.

Orr (neck) was placed on injured reserve Friday, The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is an unfortunate ending to a fantastic season for Orr. It isn't clear when he got injured, but his impending absence in Sunday's game against the Bengals opens up the door for both Albert McClellan and Patrick Onwuasor to see additional playing time.

Orr (neck) did not practice Thursday, Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thursday marked Orr's second consecutive absence from practice as he continues to battle a neck injury. Lee notes that Orr's absence Thursday makes it look increasingly likely that the Ravens will be without him for Sunday's season finale, especially considering that Baltimore is already eliminated from playoff contention. Orr has been one of the more pleasant IDP surprises among linebackers this season, racking up 132 tackles to tie him with Alec Ogletree for sixth in the NFL in that category. If he ultimately sits out Sunday, Albert McClellan or Patrick Onwuasor would likely take over in his place next to C.J. Mosley.

Orr (neck) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Orr's neck injury may have initially surfaced during his solid Week 16 performance against the Steelers in which he racked up eight tackles (six solo), two passes defensed, and an interception. With the Ravens already eliminated from the playoffs, there's no guarantee that Orr will be on the field in Week 17 versus the Bengals.

Orr had two assisted tackles (zero solo) and an interception in Sunday's win over the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Orr's interception salvaged what would've been an otherwise woeful fantasy outing Sunday as he was in on just two tackles. That said, the fact that Orr had posted 10 or more tackles in seven of eight games heading into Sunday suggests that Orr's shaky outing against the Eagles was an aberration. Look for Orr to get closer to his season average of 8.9 tackles when the Ravens head up to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on Sunday.

Orr collected 10 tackles in Monday's loss against the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Orr has been a tacking machine, as he's posted double-digit tackles in seven of his last eight games. He's been an extremely productive and consistent IDP option, even though he's basically a single-category producer.

Orr notched 13 tackles (10 solo), including one tackle for loss, in Sunday's win over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
The third-year man was all over the field Sunday as he tied his season-high in tackles against the Dolphins. He has flourished in his new-found starting role this season and he's answered the bell by racking up over 100 tackles through 11 games played. He'll have the tough tasks of slowing down the bruising LeGarrette Blount and covering New England's pass catching backs when the Ravens return to action in Week 14.

Orr racked up 11 tackles (six solo) and one tackle for loss in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday marked the fifth time in the last six games that Orr made double-digit tackles. He's up to 99 tackles on the season, which ranks him eighth in the league in that category. Although his role negates any sort of pass rushing upside, Orr is a reliable source for tackles on a weekly basis.
