Ertz signed a three-year, $31.65 million contract with the Cardinals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Ertz had a disappointing start to the 2021 campaign with the Eagles but thrived after he was traded to Arizona in mid-October. Across 11 appearances with the Cardinals, he secured 56 of 81 targets for 574 yards and three touchdowns. The 31-year-old's deal keeps him among the highest-paid tight ends in the league.

Ertz posted 74 catches (on 112 targets) for 763 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games between the Eagles and Cardinals during the 2021 campaign.
EDGE Analysis
One day removed from the Eagles' Week 6 loss to the Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football, the only team Ertz ever knew shipped him to the desert after eight-plus mostly fruitful campaigns. At the time of his arrival in Arizona, he only had an 18-189-2 line on 31 targets through six games, so his final marks are telling for his increasing importance as the months wore on. The biggest catalyst in Ertz's revival was an injured DeAndre Hopkins, who missed eight of the final 10 games (including playoffs) with hamstring and knee issues. Kyler Murray turned to Ertz often, especially during a four-game stretch Weeks 15-18, when he earned 43 targets and eventually matched the franchise record for catches by a tight end in a single season with 56. After Sunday's wild-card loss to the Rams, Ertz told Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site that he "would love to be a part" of the team moving forward, but the upcoming unrestricted free agent likely will be fielding multiple offers from other organizations as of mid-March.

Ertz caught seven passes for 84 yards on 10 targets against Seattle on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Ertz was the only Arizona pass catcher who could get anything going Sunday, even in what was a favorable matchup for the Arizona passing game. Despite his unceremonious exit from Philadelphia earlier this year, Ertz clearly has a good bit left in the tank, and even as an in-season pickup he almost immediately became one of the most important parts of the Arizona offense. In his 11 games with Arizona, the tight end caught 56 passes for 574 yards and three touchdowns on 81 targets. He'll likely be a central component of the Arizona offense in their playoff game plan.

Ertz gathered in seven of nine passes for 41 yards during Sunday's 25-22 win at Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Ertz continues to be heavily involved in the offense since DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was lost for the rest of the regular season following Week 14. Over the past three games, Ertz has been targeted 33 times, resulting in a 21-169-0 receiving line. Ertz also led all Cardinals skill-position players not named Murray by logging 69 of 76 offensive snaps Sunday. Considering the workload, Ertz remains a viable option for Week 18, especially against a Seahawks defense that has given up 10 total touchdowns (tied for third most in the NFL) and 7.9 yards per target (ninth most) to tight ends this season.

Ertz (hamstring) was a full practice participant Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
After following an LP/LP/FP practice regimen last week, Ertz logged his first uncapped session on his second opportunity during Week 17 prep. With his health not in question ahead of Sunday's game in Dallas, he's poised for another massive workload, as he's coming off double-digit targets in the first two contests since DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was lost for the rest of the regular season. In those pair of appearances, Ertz combined for 14 catches (on 24 targets) for 128 yards.

Ertz (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ertz has tended to hamstring injuries in both of his locales this season, with the current one showing up for a third straight week. Still, he hasn't missed a game and increased his snap share in each of the past five games from 76 to 97 percent. Ertz has gobbled up 28 of 42 targets for 268 yards and two touchdowns during that span, so he should be set for a decent amount of work over the final two contests of the campaign, especially with DeAndre Hopkins (knee) on IR and running backs James Conner (heel) and Chase Edmonds (back) both banged up at the moment.

Ertz reeled in eight of 13 targets for 71 yards during Saturday's 22-16 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Since the Cardinals lost DeAndre Hopkins (knee) for the rest of the regular season after Week 14, Kyler Murray has targeted Ertz a whopping 24 times over the last two contests. But the increase in volume has yielded tepid results in the game log, as Ertz has combined for 14 catches for 145 yards and no touchdowns. He actually hasn't reached the end zone, either, since Week 11 -- a span of four outings -- and has yet to get to the century mark in receiving yards in eight appearances with Arizona. In any case, Ertz will look to take advantage of his new standing as Murray's favorite in a showdown at Dallas on Sunday, Jan. 2.

Ertz (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Saturday's contest versus the Colts, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ertz kicked off Week 16 prep with back-to-back limited listings on Cardinals injury reports, only to cap it with a full showing at Thursday's practice. He's thus set to take on an Indianapolis defense that has allowed the most total yards (949) and fifth-most touchdowns (eight, tied with three other teams) to tight ends this season.

Ertz (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the third practice report in a row dating back to last week in which the Cardinals have listed Ertz as limited due to a hamstring issue. He wasn't worse for wear this past Sunday at Detroit, gathering in six off 11 targets for 74 yards. Thursday's report will relay whether he heads into Saturday's game versus the Colts with an injury designation.

Ertz (hamstring) is listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
In the first game with DeAndre Hopkins (knee) officially out for the rest of the regular season, Ertz earned a season-high 11 targets this past Sunday in Detroit, which he turned into six catches for 74 yards. Ertz also dealt with the hamstring issue prior to that contest and proceeded to suit up, but his activity still will need to be monitored to make sure he's available Saturday versus the Colts.
