Dissly brought in both targets for 14 yards and a touchdown during the Chargers' 34-7 preseason win over the Lions in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran tight end capped off the Chargers' first drive with a nifty five-yard touchdown grab on a perfect touch pass from Trey Lance. Dissly broke out in 2024 with a career-best 50-481-2 receiving line over 15 regular-season games, and he's slated to open the campaign with at least a share of the top tight end job again despite the additions of Tyler Conklin and Oronde Gadsden via free agency and the draft, respectively.

Dissly secured 50 of 64 targets for a career-high 481 yards and two touchdowns across 15 regular-season appearances with Los Angeles in 2024. He caught two of five targets for 16 yards during the team's wild-card round loss to the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Dissly emerged as a consistent target for quarterback Justin Herbert in his inaugural season with the Chargers, setting new career-high marks across the board as a receiver. That said, the veteran tight end remained a fringe fantasy option in formats that start just one tight end, as he exceeded 50 yards in a game just twice during the 2024 season. Dissly remains under contract with Los Angeles for the next two years, though the team will have a potential 'out' to evaluate after the 2025 campaign.

Dissly took the field for 43 of the Chargers' 75 snaps on offense and recorded five catches for 42 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Sunday's 34-20 win over the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Dissly found the end zone for the second time during the regular season and finished with 50 catches for 481 yards on 64 targets -- all career highs -- over his 15 games with the Chargers. He was one of four tight ends the Chargers kept active in Week 18, but Dissly's 57 percent snap share handily outpaced Tucker Fisk (35 percent), Stone Smartt (19 percent) and Hayden Hurst (eight percent). Expect Dissly to remain the Chargers' clear top tight end as the team kicks off postseason play Saturday in Houston.

Dissly (shoulder) caught two passes for 21 yards on three targets against New England on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It's possible that Dissly was playing injured and was less than his 100 percent self, as fellow tight end Stone Smartt (two catches for 23 yards on two targets) had not previously matched Dissly's catch count in any game where the two of them were both active for the whole game. Dissly did enter the game questionable with a shoulder injury. He was originally signed by the Chargers to be a blocking specialist -- Dissly's productive season as a pass catcher was out of necessity due to a lack of alternatives -- but the more Smartt emerges, the more the Chargers might reduce Dissly's pass-catching volume in favor of more of the blocking tasks the Chargers originally had in mind for Dissly.

Dissly (shoulder) is listed as active for Saturday's game against the Patriots, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dissly, who has missed the Chargers' last two contests, was listed as limited on Tuesday and Wednesday's practice reports before upgrading to full participation Thursday and then being deemed questionable for Saturday's contest. In his return to action, Dissly will have an opportunity to reclaim his lead role in a Los Angeles tight end corps that also includes Stone Smartt and Tucker Fisk. In 13 games thus far, Dissly has logged a 43/418/1 receiving line on 55 targets, a pace that makes him a fantasy lineup consideration in deeper formats.

The Chargers list Dissly as questionable for Saturday's game against the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Dissly has missed the Chargers' last two contests, but he looks like he'll have a chance to play Saturday after he was able to resumed practicing in a limited fashion Tuesday and Wednesday before bumping up to full participation Thursday. Official word on Dissly's status will arrive when Los Angeles posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Saturday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. In addition to Dissly, Hayden Hurst (illness) is also listed as questionable, so Stone Smartt and Tucker Fisk could be in store for elevated snaps at tight end if neither Dissly nor Hurst is able to play.

The Chargers listed Dissly (shoulder) as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the Chargers' last two games with the shoulder injury, Dissly has now gone down as a limited participant on both of the team's first two Week 17 injury reports. He may need to put in a full session Thursday in order to approach Saturday's game at New England without an injury designation.

Dissly (shoulder) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Dissly has missed the Chargers' last two games with the shoulder injury, but after not practicing in any fashion in Week 16, he seems to have made some progress to kick off Week 17 prep. The tight end will look to upgrade to full participation in practice by Thursday to clear the way for him to suit up Saturday at New England.

Dissly (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Dissly will miss a second consecutive game due to this injury. Hayden Hurst (hip) is questionable and has a chance to return from IR, while Stone Smartt could be in line to maintain an elevated role in Dissly's absence. Dissly's next chance to take the field will be Dec. 28 against the Patriots.

Dissly (shoulder) did not participate in practice Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Dissly was also tagged as DNP on Monday, though that was a walkthrough session. The tight end hurt his shoulder Week 14 against Kansas City and missed this past Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers. If he's out again Thursday, which is a likely scenario, Stone Smartt would likely be in line for another start, though Los Angeles could also be getting back Hayden Hurt (hip) this week. Hurst remains on IR, but he was designated to return Monday and logged a full practice Tuesday.
