Johnson signed a one-year contract with the 49ers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has been in the NFL for five years and has stints with the Steelers, Jets and Dolphins. He's appeared in 51 total games in his career and most recently played in 10 on the Dolphins' offensive in 2018. He will likely be a depth option on the offensive line for San Francisco should he make the final roster.

Johnson, a restricted free agent, re-signed with the Jets on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
When longtime Jets center Nick Mangold (ankle) was placed on injured reserve last December, Johnson filled in as the starter for the final four games of the season and performed admirably well. With Mangold having been released in February, the starting job is Johnson's for the taking ahead of the 2017 campaign.

Steelers signed No. 173 overall pick G/C Wesley Johnson to a four-year contract. Johnson (6-foot-5, 297 pounds) made 51 career starts for Vanderbilt, including 42 at left tackle. Only nine of his starts came on the interior, but that's where he'll play in the pros. Short armed (33 1/8") but a good athlete, Johnson could see snaps as a rookie.
