Horton did not play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Horton missed three of the Panthers' four exhibition contests after spraining his wrist to start camp, but his lone appearance came in the all-important third preseason game. Knowing his roster spot was under threat, Horton suited up and managed two tackles during that contest. Although it remains to be seen whether he'll survive final cuts, Horton has been valued for his physicality in defending the run from his defensive end post for the Panthers the past three seasons.

Horton sprained his wrist during Friday's practice, Panthers writer Bryan Strickland reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear how Horton suffered the injury, but he'll likely miss at least a couple days. How long he's out is dependent on the severity of the sprain, and can vary from a few days to multiple weeks. Look for Rakim Cox and Larry Webster to see some extra reps as long as Horton is injured.
