The Bills are releasing Miller, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
After finishing 2023 with no sacks in 12 regular-season games, Miller enjoyed a bit of a bounce-back in 2024, recording 6.0 sacks over 13 regular-season contests. However, Buffalo is electing to cut ties -- at least temporarily -- with the veteran pass rusher in order to free up $8.4 million against the salary cap. That said, Rapoport notes that both the Bills and Miller are open to a reunion, so it's not yet certain that the soon-to-be 36-year-old will be with a new team next season.

Miller recorded 17 tackles (13 solo), including 6.0 sacks, over 13 regular-season games in 2024.
EDGE Analysis
Miller's playing time (13 regular-season contests, 268 defensive snaps) was nearly equal to what he logged in 2023 (12 games, 239 snaps). However, his output was significantly better -- after finishing without a sack last season, the veteran pass rusher tied for second on Buffalo in that category with 6.0 sacks this year. He did miss four games in October due to a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy, but Miller was mostly healthy and typically logged around one-third of the Bills' defensive snaps. Miller has three seasons remaining on the six-year deal he signed with Buffalo in 2022, and per Tyler Dunne of Bleacher Report, the eight-time Pro Bowler intends to play at least one more season, but it's not a guarantee the Bills will bring him back, as they can save over $17.4 million in cap space by cutting him after June 1.

Coach Sean McDermott said Friday that Miller will play against the Dolphins on Sunday following his four-game suspension, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller was reinstated from his suspension Monday, and now the team has confirmed the pass rusher will get right back into the mix. Miller typically doesn't play more than half the defensive snaps given his age and role in the defense, but he does have 3.0 sacks in four games this season.

Miller's four-game suspension has concluded and he will rejoin the Bills this week, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller was suspended for four games Oct. 1 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, but he's since served his time and is now eligible to return to the team. Expect Miller to contribute as one of Buffalo's top rotational edge rushers as the Bills host the Dolphins in Week 9.

Miller was suspended for four games Tuesday for violating the league's personal conduct policy, NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Details as to the reason for Miller's suspension have not been released yet, but he'll be ineligible to return until the Bills' Week 9 game against the Dolphins on Nov. 3.

Miller logged 1.0 sacks in Monday's 47-10 win over the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Miller extended his streak of registering 1.0 sacks to three games Monday, as he got to Trevor Lawrence for a 10-yard sack early in the fourth quarter. Miller has been effective as a rotational defensive end this season behind starters A.J. Epenesa and Greg Rousseau. Miller will look to extend his sack streak to four games against the elusive Lamar Jackson in Week 4.

Miller posted two tackles, including a sack, in Thursday's 31-10 win over the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
That's sacks in two straight games for Miller, who didn't have a single one over 12 regular-season games in 2023. He looks to have finally fought back to a semblance of his normal self following significant knee injuries. At 35 years of age, Miller won't be an elite IDP option, especially while he's playing 50 percent or less of the defensive snaps, but if sacks come at a premium in your IDP format we could see him getting 8-10 before campaign's end. The strength of the Buffalo defense lies in its line, and it's likely the team keeps trying to pressure the opponent as it works its way through significant injuries to the other defensive units.

Miller feels healthy in camp coming off surgery to his right knee, Maddy Glab and Dorian Alerte of the Bills' official site report. "I'm feeling good," Miller said this week. "I haven't felt like this in two years... I'm feeling normal. I'm not thinking about my knee. I'm just getting back into things. Getting back in the hang of just playing football. And it feels good. It's just being meetings and not doing rehab all day and watch film to get reps with the guys and be out there. And, it's not all about my knee."
EDGE Analysis
Miller has 123.5 regular-season sacks in his career, but the fact that he had zero over 14 regular and postseason games last season shows that he's well past his prime at 35 years old. While he probably will be of little help in IDP leagues at this stage of his Hall of Fame career, a healthy Miller and Matt Milano (leg) could make a strong Bills defense even better.

Miller has been participating in OTAs without a knee brace, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports. "That's something I could not do last year," Miller said following Tuesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Miller, now 35, hasn't played more than 12 regular-season games since 2019, as he's battled serious knee/ankel issues, among other things, in the final chapters of his Hall of Fame career. While Miller's days of double-digit sack totals are likely gone, he still has the ability to provide a major boost to Buffalo's pass rush, even with limited action.

Miller and the Bills agreed to a reworked contract for the 2024 season Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller's 2024 base salary will fall from $17.1 million to $8.86 million while his possible incentives will increase from $17.5 million to $20 million this coming season. The move also saves Buffalo about $8.65 million in 2024 salary cap space, as the veteran pass rusher's new deal includes a $7 million signing bonus, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. Miller compiled the least productive campaign of his career by far with just three tackles and no sacks over 12 games during the 2023 regular season. He'll enter his age-35 season in 2024.
