Texans signed RT Tyson Clabo to a two-year contract. Clabo, 33 in October, will push incumbent RT Derek Newton for the starting job after second-year OT Brennan Williams was released this week. Newton surrendered six sacks and 37 quarterback hurries as a 16-game starter last season, while also taking a league-worst 13 penalties and grading out as a bottom-five tackle at PFF. Clabo wasn't much better as a 15-game starter for the Dolphins. He gave up 11 sacks and 31 hurries. We'll give Newton the slight edge.

The Cardinals are working out free agent RT Tyson Clabo on Monday. It's a possible indication of worry in Arizona's organization about in-house RT options Bobby Massie, Bradley Sowell, and Nate Potter. Clabo is coming off a poor season in Miami, though he did finish strong. He's 32 years old.

The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports the Dolphins plan to bench, trade, or release RT Tyson Clabo. This news comes one day after OL coach Jim Turner claimed Clabo "played a great football game" in Sunday's Week 7 loss to Buffalo, despite getting manhandled by Bills LE Mario Williams. Clabo has been the NFL's single worst offensive tackle through six games, according to Pro Football Focus' grades. He's been exposed as just another blunder amid GM Jeff Ireland's sputtering master plan to build an NFL team through free agency. The Dolphins have dropped three straight games since a fluky 0-3 start, and head to New England in Week 8.

Dolphins agreed to terms with RT Tyson Clabo, formerly of the Falcons, on a one-year contract. The move essentially locks in Jonathan Martin as the Dolphins' starting left tackle after an abominable rookie season. Miami is showing an awful lot of blind faith in last year's second-round pick. Clabo, going on age 32, graded out as the NFL's fifth-best right tackle in 2012, per Pro Football Focus' ratings. He was strong in both protection and run blocking, although 6-foot-6, 329-pound Clabo has always been a power blocker. He'll have to learn to zone block in Joe Philbin's scheme.

ESPN Dallas reports that free agent RT Tyson Clabo has "a lot of fans inside Valley Ranch" -- the Cowboys' practice facility. The Cowboys have made calls to both Clabo and fellow free agent RT Eric Winston just in case RT Doug Free refuses a pay cut. Beat writer Todd Archer says there are "far fewer" fans of Winston at the Cowboys' facility. Winston is said to be seeking $3-4 million per year, but the Cowboys aren't willing to pay him that. They could, however, be willing to pay Clabo that kind of coin.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Cowboys "remain in contact" with free agent RT Tyson Clabo. Per La Canfora, the Cowboys "really like" the former Falcon. The Cowboys have flirted with both Clabo and Eric Winston this offseason, but have curiously kept Doug Free and his $7 million salary on the roster. Clabo would be a massive upgrade, but it will be a tricky signing if he's seeking much more than $3 million. Big D, as usual, is right up against the salary cap.

Free agent RT Tyson Clabo will visit the Dolphins Tuesday night. Now that the Branden Albert trade has cooled, the Dolphins are moving on to other options. They've looked at both Bryant McKinnie and Eric Winston, and will now kick the tires on the best free right tackle available in Clabo. However, we're still not sure this would solve the Dolphins' real problem -- keeping Jonathan Martin off Ryan Tannehill's blind side. Clabo is a power blocker that has no NFL experience at left tackle.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins aren't interested in free agent RT Tyson Clabo. Clabo's agent reportedly reached out to the Dolphins, but they never called back. The Cowboys and Jaguars expressed interest in Clabo following his release from the Falcons, but he's yet to make a visit in free agency. Clabo is coming off a strong season, but will likely have to be amenable to an incentive-laden, one-year contract.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Cowboys "remain interested" in free agent RTs Tyson Clabo and Eric Winston. La Canfora believes Clabo would be Dallas' "guy" over Winston if given the choice, but the team needs to clear more salary cap space. Clabo fits the Cowboys' power-blocking scheme much better than Winston.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Cowboys and Jaguars have contacted free agent RT Tyson Clabo. Clabo was released in a cap move by the Falcons on Thursday morning, and it's not a surprise he's already drawing interest. The Cowboys currently have overpaid bust Doug Free manning right tackle. The Jaguars have already stated that if the season started today, then they don't know who would anchor the right side of the line. Clabo, 31, has a nastiness to him, and he graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 5 right tackle in 2012.
