Williams caught seven of his 10 targets for 140 yards in the win over the Falcons Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Williams was a major factor in the passing game, recording a career-high in targets and receiving yards against the overmatched Falcons secondary. While he may not be the No. 1 WR on the Chargers' depth chart, he certainly is the receiver to own for fantasy purposes, as the 24-year-old has recorded at least five targets in all but one game this year. Despite his success against the Falcons, fantasy owners may want to temper expectations next week as the Chargers travel to take on the vaunted Broncos defense which held Williams to just three catches for 28 yards in their last meeting.

Williams caught all three of his targets for 28 yards in the win over the Broncos Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Williams barely managed to factor in Thursday's win, as the Broncos secondary shut down most of the receiving options throughout the night, instead forcing the Chargers to move the ball on the ground. Considering Williams only saw three targets, his lowest figure of the season, it makes sense that he was unable to put up productive numbers, but the lack of targets was more indicative of the slow pace than anything else. Williams should have plenty of opportunities to erase Thursday's performance when the Chargers take on the Falcons next week.

Williams caught five of six targets for a career-high 117 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-31 loss at Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Williams got San Diego on the board in the second quarter with a gorgeous 29-yard touchdown, and later added a nice 50-yard grab. He finally had the breakout game that fantasy owners were waiting for, and he's been getting plenty of work in general, with 29 targets over the last four games. On a negative note, the Chargers haven't been taking many shots to him down the field, other than the aforementioned 50-yard bomb Sunday, which is a shame considering his length and speed. He might have a tough time shaking free next week against a tough Broncos secondary.

Williams caught five of eight targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 35-34 loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Despite finishing second on the team in targets, Williams ranked fifth in receiving yards, as his longest gain went for just 16 yards. After averaging 26.4 yards per catch over the first two weeks of the season, Williams has seen that number fall to 9.9 over the last two, as the Chargers' offense continues to shuffle its use of skill players. Williams seems unlikely to distance himself from the rest of the pack anytime soon, but he should maintain a steady role next week versus the Raiders.

Williams caught six of nine targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 26-22 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Williams didn't make a catch in the first half, but came alive over the final 30 minutes, leading the Chargers in targets. He had a couple of nice receptions on third-down plays, and nearly scored a touchdown at one point in the fourth quarter. The young wideout was already looking at more targets when Keenan Allen hurt his knee in Week 1, but Danny Woodhead's own torn ACL probably gives Williams even more of an opportunity, as was the case Sunday. Travis Benjamin is the true speedster and deep threat in the offense, although Williams is fast himself, and much bigger. Expect Williams to post solid numbers in Week 4 against New Orleans, which could turn into a potential shootout.

Williams secured three of his six targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-14 blowout victory over Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Williams was having a quiet afternoon until his 44-yard touchdown reception gave the Chargers a 28-0 lead in the third quarter. He's quickly emerging as a much-needed big play threat for quarterback Philip Rivers after also hauling in a pair of long receptions in Week 1. With top wideout Keenan Allen and now receiving back Danny Woodhead suffering knee injuries, expect Williams to see plenty of attention from Rivers moving forward.

Williams could prove to be the Chargers wideout with the most to gain from teammate Keenan Allen's knee injury, ESPN.com's Eric Williams reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams, unlike teammate Travis Benjamin, profiles as a similar receiver to Allen, as his six-foot-three, 215-pound frame makes him a big target on the perimeter. As a result, should Allen indeed miss the remainder of the season due to his suspected torn ACL, Williams could be in line to benefit most. The undrafted second-year pro showed good speed in catching two passes for 71 yards Sunday against the Chiefs, which came after Williams finished with seven catches for 83 yards in two preseason appearances. Given those recent displays, as well as Allen's bleak outlook and the Chargers' pass-oriented offense, Williams could be well worth a pickup in fantasy leagues this week.

Williams reeled in two of five targets for 71 yards in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Williams is looking to follow in the footsteps of Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd as a big-bodied, small-school prospect who makes it in San Diego. He got a good start on Sunday, both his receptions going for more than 30 yards. Should Keenan Allen's injury prove to be season-ending, he and Dontrelle Inman - who flashed potential in 2015 - figure to be the primary beneficiaries. Williams, who impressed in training camp, would likely have an edge in the competition to start opposite Travis Benjamin.

Williams hauled in all three of his targets for 36 yards in Sunday's preseason game against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the first exhibition with a minor injury, Williams has caught seven passes for 83 yards on nine targets in two preseason games. With Stevie Johnson (knee) out for the year, Williams is putting some pressure on Dontrelle Inman for the No. 3 wide receiver role. Both players could have significant roles if Travis Benjamin is deployed as a part-time deep threat.

Williams finished with four catches for 47 yards on six targets in the Chargers preseason win over the Cardinals Friday.
EDGE Analysis
In his first preseason game of the season, Williams continued to build upon his impressive training camp, making multiple catches in a defensive driven game, including a 15 yard snag. With fellow wide receiver Dontrelle Inman absorbing a massive hit early in the first quarter, knocking him out of the contest, Williams seems primed to earn the No. 3 wide receiver role with a few more weeks of productive play, provided he can stay healthy.
