Johnson didn't receive a target in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson is now operating as the No. 5 receiver with Chris Godwin healthy and Antonio Brown on board. The rookie out of Minnesota logged fewer than 10 snaps on offense for a third straight week and didn't record a reception for a second straight game.

Johnson failed to bring in his only target in the Buccaneers' 46-23 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie played just nine snaps from scrimmage overall, not entirely surprising considering the Buccaneers' receiving corps was at full health. Johnson was overthrown by Tom Brady on his one target, and he now has logged just two targets in the pair of contests Antonio Brown has played in thus far.

Johnson secured his only target for 11 yards in the Buccaneers' 38-3 loss to the Saints on Sunday night.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie unsurprisingly filled a minor role, logging just six snaps from scrimmage and coming in last in targets among players who received at least one look from Tom Brady. Johnson has slipped down to No. 5 on the wideout depth chart with the arrival of Antonio Brown, so his level of participation moving forward could be similarly modest.

Johnson brought in both his targets for 35 yards in the Buccaneers' 25-23 win over the Giants on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson took a formidable hit from the Giants' Logan Ryan on his second and final catch of the night, a 20-yard grab that took the ball down to New York's 42-yard line on a drive that would culminate in a go-ahead touchdown grab by Mike Evans. The rookie played on exactly 50.0 percent of the snaps overall and was able to post his third multi-reception tally of the last four games in the process. However, the 2020 fifth-round pick could well be in for a notable decline in opportunity beginning Week 9, when Antonio Brown's expected debut projects to knock the receivers on the latter half of the depth chart down another notch.

Johnson could be in line for an expanded role Monday against the Giants with Chris Godwin (finger) set to miss the contest, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has had an interesting rookie season, one that saw him inactive for the first two games of the campaign, target-less for the subsequent pair of contests and in the end zone twice on just seven catches over the last three. He was at his busiest in Week 5 against the Bears -- one of three games Godwin has already missed this season -- posting a 4-61 line on six targets. Johnson may not see the same volume versus New York, but he should slot into the No. 3 receiver role with Scotty Miller bumping up to No. 2 spot in Godwin's stead.

Johnson secured both his targets for four yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 45-20 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie is starting to demonstrate a knack for making excellent use of his relatively sparse opportunities, as he now has a pair of touchdown grabs on a combined three receptions over the last two games. On Sunday, Johnson found the end zone from a yard out with 3:08 remaining to put an exclamation point on the lopsided win for the Buccaneers. While his recent fantasy production is encouraging to an extent, the outlook for Johnson isn't too bright moving forward, considering Antonio Brown's on-field debut in what will likely be Week 9 is poised to have the domino effect of bumping everyone on the latter portion of the receiver depth chart down a notch.

Johnson hauled in his only target for a seven-yard touchdown in the Buccaneers' 38-10 win over the Packers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie didn't have anywhere near the same role as in a Week 5 loss to the Bears that Chris Godwin and Justin Watson missed due to hamstring and chest injuries, respectively. However, Johnson certain cashed in on his one opportunity to touch the ball. The 2020 fifth-round pick should continue to see sporadic opportunity throughout his first pro campaign, but he'll have a weekly uphill battle for Tom Brady's attention whenever the rest of the team's pass-catching corps is healthy.

Johnson secured four of six targets for 61 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-19 loss to the Bears on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie finally had a chance to see some targets come his way, and he made good use of the opportunity overall. Johnson led the Buccaneers in receptions and receiving yardage for the night, with the highlight of his performance a 35-yard grab late in the first quarter on the Buccaneers' only touchdown drive. Johnson saw extended snaps as a result of the absences of Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Justin Watson (chest), but the accounting he gave of himself could certainly earn him additional opportunities as a complementary weapon in coming weeks.

Johnson could be in line for No. 3 receiver duties at minimum in Thursday's Week 5 game against the Bears with Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Justin Watson (chest) sidelined, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie already logged 25 snaps in Week 4 against the Chargers, although he didn't see a target. That's likely to change Thursday, even if Evans, who's reportedly going to test out his gimpy ankle in pregame warmups, and Miller, who's expected to play through groin and ankle injuries, both suit up. Smith identifies Johnson as the most likely to serve as the No. 3 wideout in such a scenario, and if Evans can't go, the 2020 fifth-round pick could conceivably find himself in a starting role in what would be only his third NFL game with active status.

Johnson is in line for an expanded role in Sunday's Week 4 home tilt against the Chargers with Chris Godwin (hamstring) already ruled out and Scotty Miller (hip/groin) listed as questionable, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Laine reports coach Bruce Arians noted he expects Johnson to step into a bigger role after being active for the first time in Week 3 but not logging a target. The 2020 fifth-round pick has had a slow start to his pro career after missing time at the start of training camp with what was described as a soft-tissue injury, but he's since had over a month to get acquainted with the offense. Johnson wouldn't project to serve as any higher than the No. 4 receiver if Miller is able to suit up, but he could conceivably slot into the No. 3 role behind starters Mike Evans and Justin Watson if his teammate were to sit out.
