Spears rushed eight times for 19 yards and secured two of four targets for 28 yards in the Titans' 31-29 win over the Browns on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Spears played his usual No. 2 role behind Tony Pollard, but in a rare game script for Tennessee in which the ground attack's opportunities weren't capped, the latter outpaced the former by 17 carries and erupted for 161 rushing yards and a pair of scores. That left Spears in a clear complementary role, although his receiving yardage total actually paced the Titans on the afternoon. Spears should continue operating as a clear No. 2 behind Pollard in a Week 15 road trip to San Francisco.

Spears caught all six of his targets for 25 yards in the Titans' 25-3 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. He added two carries for minus-1 yard.
EDGE Analysis
Spears' six catches tied rookie TE Gunnar Helm for the team lead, and Spears' 25 yards were four fewer than team-leader Chig Okonkwo. Spears was out-carried 10 to two by Tony Pollard, who produced rushing 60 yards on his attempts. In eight games since returning from injured reserve due to a high-ankle sprain, Spears has rushed 39 times for 158 yards and one touchdown, adding 28 catches for 173 scoreless yards on 30 targets. Spears has been a reliable check-down target for Cam Ward, but Pollard continues to handle the majority of the carries out of Tennessee's backfield.

Spears rushed the ball three times or four yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Titans. He added four receptions on five targets for 21 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Spears continued to work as a complement to Tony Pollard, as he had only three rush attempts to Pollard's 11. Spears has now been held to single-digit rushing yards in each of his last two contests. Positively, he has remained involved as a pass catcher, recording at least three receptions in six straight games.

Spears logged four carries for three yards and caught all five of his targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Spears was unable to get anything going on the ground, posting a season-low three rushing yards. The running back was able to set a new season high in receptions, though, leading the team in that category. Spears remains limited by the Titans' overall lack of upside offensively, but he has now secured at least three catches in five straight games.

Spears recorded seven rushes for 26 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Chargers. He added three receptions on three targets for 36 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Spears was out-touched only 13-12 by Tony Pollard, with Spears being the primary pass catcher. His most notable contribution was a 26-yard catch that set up a game-tying field goal late in the second quarter. That made up for Spears' lack of efficiency on the ground, as he was held to less than 4.0 yards per carry for the first time since his season debut in Week 5. Positively, Spears has at least three catches in four straight games while also seeing an uptick in his usage as a ball carrier.

Spears rushed nine times for 59 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 38-14 loss to Indianapolis.
EDGE Analysis
Tony Pollard led Tennessee with 11 carries, but Spears outproduced the veteran starter in every other facet Sunday. The nine carries also represented a new personal best through four healthy appearances this season. The 1-7 Titans may opt to feature the 24-year-old more prominently in the second half of the season if the team offense continues to struggle. As for Week 9, Spears remains stuck in a timeshare with Pollard, limiting both players' value to deeper formats against the Chargers next Sunday.

Spears rushed the ball five times for 22 yards in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Patriots. He added three receptions on four targets for 18 yards.
EDGE Analysis
The Titans attempted only 12 rushes in the game, with Spears splitting the workload almost exactly evenly with Tony Pollard. More surprising was that Pollard out-produced him as a pass catcher, a role that Spears had seemingly taken over since his return to the field. While he's added an element to the Tennessee offense, the unit is poor enough that Spears won't be able to sustain fantasy vlaue so long as he's in a split with Pollard.

Spears rushed five times for 31 yards and caught all four of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Spears more than doubled his total touches in his second game back from an ankle injury. Tony Pollard (10-34-0) still spearheaded the Titans' backfield, but the gap in touch distribution inched even closer Sunday. The speedy backup will continue vying for more snaps against the Patriots next Sunday.

Spears (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spears upgraded to full participation in Friday's practice after a pair of limited sessions. After handling just four carries for 14 yards in his Week 5 season debut against the Cardinals, Spears will look to take on a larger role Sunday as the complementary option to Tony Pollard in Tennessee's backfield.

Spears (ankle) remained limited at practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Spears also was limited Wednesday, so the running back likely will need to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Raiders without an injury designation. In his return from IR in Week 5, he recorded a 25 percent snap share in his team's 22-21 win over the Cardinals en route to carrying four times for 14 yards while working behind fellow RB Tony Pollard.
