Holliday was released by the Raiders on Tuesday, CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holliday made a run at the Raiders' return job, but once it was determined that he would not open the season in that role, the Raiders decided to cut him loose. He could latch on with another team looking for help in the return game.

The 49ers have waived Holliday, the team's official site reports. Holliday, who appeared in one game each for the 49ers and Bucs last season, could catch on elsewhere as a return option, but the 5-5, 166-pound wideout doesn't factor in enough on offense to merit fantasy attention.

Holliday (hamstring) was cut by the Buccaneers on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports. Holliday had signed with the Buccaneers just a week earlier, but was cut by the team after the hamstring injury threatened to keep him out of action Sunday against the Browns. The Buccaneers added Marcus Thigpen to their roster earlier in the week as insurance for their return game, so he'll presumably overtake Holliday's role on special teams.

Holliday officially signed with the Buccaneers on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports. Holliday likely won't see many snaps on the offensive side, but has an opportunity to win both the kick and punt return jobs in Tampa Bay this season. This would relieve Mike James and Bobby Rainey of those duties, but doesn't drastically change any of those players' fantasy values outside of leagues that emphasize return yardage.

Holliday is expected to sign with the Buccaneers sometime this week, Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times reports. Holliday was a member of the Giants during training camp but ultimately failed to make the team. As a return specialist, Holliday has the ability to claim both returning gigs in Tampa Bay and will have an opportunity to do so before season's end.

Holliday (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, the New York Daily News reports. Holliday was an option to make the team as a reserve receiver but mostly as a kick returner. Unfortuantely, a hamstring injury has caused him to miss some of the preseason, and either that injury or a larger one will send him to IR.

Holliday (hamstring) is not expected to practice this week, the New York Daily News reports. While little is known about Holliday's injury, it appears likely it will hold him out of Saturday's preseason matchup with the Colts.

Giants signed KR Trindon Holliday, formerly of the Texans, to a one-year contract. Holliday wasn't tendered an offer as an exclusive rights free agent by the Broncos. The soon-to-be 28-year-old is a dynamic return man but has fumbled 11 times the past two years. He averaged 8.5 yards on punt returns and 27.7 yards on kickoff returns in 2013. Holliday has four return scores in two seasons.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports KR Trindon Holliday will visit the Falcons. Holliday was a revelation after joining the Broncos in 2012, but struggled with fumbles and decision-making last season. He was in the middle of the pack in both punt- and kick-return average. Holliday would upgrade an Atlanta return unit that was middling in 2013.

The Broncos will not tender exclusive rights free agent KR Trindon Holliday a contract, making him an unrestricted free agent. Holliday was a revelation after coming over from the Texans in 2012, but struggled with fumbles and decision-making last season. He was in the middle of the pack in both punt- and kick-return average. The pint-sized return man isn't going to burn up the open market.
