The Chargers placed Marshall on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
According to Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times, head coach Brandon Staley labeled Marshall as day-to-day, which would seem to suggest that the 25-year-old safety is on the list as a vaccinated player that tested positive for the virus. Per the NFL's new COVID-19 protocols, Marshall will be eligible to rejoin the team as soon as he's deemed to be asymptomatic. Marshall thus has an outside shot of gaining clearance prior to Sunday's game against the Texans. He's appeared in 12 games to date this season, recording 19 tackles.

Marshall (ankle) was a full participant in practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After spending most of training camp with Denver dealing with an ankle injury, Marshall failed to make the Broncos roster and eventually signed with the Chargers. The safety was forced to miss L.A.'s season opener against Washington as his ankle issue was still bothering him. Now it seems that the injury is mostly cleared up, and Marshall should be able to make his season debut Sunday against the Cowboys.

The Chargers listed Marshall (ankle) as out for Sunday's season opener against Washington.
EDGE Analysis
While with Denver during training camp, Marshall injured his ankle during a preseason contest and failed to make the initial 53-man roster. He was scooped up by the Chargers, but it appears that his ankle remains an issue.

The Broncos waived Marshall (ankle) on Tuesday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall spent the latter portion of training camp dealing with an ankle injury, so it's no surprise to see him fail to stick on the initial 53-man roster. He appeared in 30 games with the Broncos over the last three seasons.

Marshall (ankle) will miss multiple weeks, according to coach Vic Fangio, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Broncos locked up Marshall by electing to tender his contact for 2021. The 25-year-old appeared in 12 games, primarily in a special teams capacity, during last season. The Florida State product was in line for a sizeable backup role behind Kareem Jackson and Justin Simmons, but his injury may cost him a few spots on the depth chart. Denver opens the regular season on Sep. 12, but it is unknown if Marshall will be active for Week 1.

Marshall (ankle) has been downgraded to out for the remainder of the game against the Vikings on Saturday, Patrick Smyth reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old appeared in 12 games for Denver last year, mostly on special teams. As long as this injury doesn't force him to miss significant time, he should see a similar depth and special teams role in 2021.

Marshall signed his free agent tender with the Broncos on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old was an exclusive rights free agent, so he was locked in with Denver once the team decided to tender him a contract for 2021. Marshall appeared in 12 games during 2020 and totaled six tackles while primarily playing special teams.

The Broncos tendered exclusive rights free agent Marshall (quadriceps) on Monday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall suited up for all 16 of the Broncos' games in 2019, plus the team's first 10 outings of the 2020 campaign. Shin and quad injuries took their toll down the stretch, however, ultimately forcing Marshall to miss four of Denver's final six games. This latest transaction puts him on a trajectory to return to the Broncos' lineup this fall, where he's primarily expected to be deployed as a special-teams contributor. Should veteran safety Kareem Jackson move on this offseason, Marshall's defensive role could suddenly become more prominent.

Marshall (quadriceps) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old received the questionable tag despite not practicing all week, so it's not a major surprise he's sitting out the season finale. Marshall finishes the season with six total tackles while primarily playing special teams in 12 games.
