Saints released TE Tory Humphrey, Ss Pierson Prioleau and Chris Reis, OT George Foster, CBs Quincy Butler and CB Trumaine McBride, DT Dexter Larimore, WR Montez Billings, TE Tyler Lorenzen, LB Dwight Roberson, and OT Jordan Black. The Saints' late-night moves clear 16 roster spots, with 11 players (above) released or waived, four players to I.R., and one (DE Greg Romeus) to the reserve/PUP list. Humphrey and Lorenzen's exits appear to have given undrafted rookie Michael Higgins a realistic change of making the 53 as a third tight end.
