Bohanon joined Green Bay while top fullback Danny Vitale was sidelined with a calf injury, and never had a strong chance to make the 53-man roster. The veteran fullback offers upside as a blocker and special-teams asset.

Bohanon's spot on the roster coincides with Danny Vitale (calf) and Malcolm Johnson (groin) both nursing injuries. As the lone healthy fullback on the Packers' roster, at least for the time being, Bohanon stands to see immediate reps in practice.

Bohanon parlayed both of his goal-line carries into touchdowns in Sunday's 45-7 win over the Texans.

With Leonard Fournette (quadriceps) sidelined in Week 15, Chris Ivory seemed like the prime candidate to handle any short-yardage work that would come about. However, after Ivory was unable to break the plane on carries from the one-yard line during the Jaguars' second drive and later on in the third quarter, Bohanon's number was surprisingly called, with the fullback converting both times. While the development was undoubtedly frustrating for those that started Ivory in season-long and DFS formats, Bohanon's two-touchdown performance may have bolstered his case for his first Pro Bowl trip. With only five carries and six receptions in 14 games this season, however, Bohanon obviously shouldn't be counted on for a repeat performance.

The Jaguars haven't utilized a fullback in two years but will break that trend by signing Bohanon, who was the lead blocker for Chris Ivory for three years with the Jets from 2013 to 2015. Coincidental or not, those three seasons were the most productive of Ivory's career.

Bohanon had eight carries for 27 yards Saturday against the Giants.

Bohanon is likely to stick on the Jets' roster as their only fullback. He'll see occasional carries, but will see the bulk of his work in short-yardage situations as a blocker.

Bohanon broke his collarbone during the loss against the Lions on Sunday, Jane McManus of ESPN reports. The sixth rounder from the 2013 draft miraculously played the entire second half of Sunday's game with his broken collarbone. However, Bohanon is awaiting a second opinion, but a trip to the injured reserve seems definite.
