Chiefs waived K Todd Carter. He'll have to separate from CB Brandon Carr, his teammate at Grand Valley State as well as high school. Carter was merely a camp leg behind Ryan Succop.

Chiefs claimed K Todd Carter off waivers from the Rams. At least he won't have to travel too far to arrive at his new camp. Carter is a kickoff specialist. He won't be beating out incumbent Ryan Succop, who's converted 82 percent of his field goal tries through two seasons.
