Coach Robert Saleh has confirmed that Boyle will remain the Jets' starting QB for the team's Dec. 3 contest against the Falcons, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site and Rich Cimini of ESPN.com report.
EDGE Analysis
In Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins, Boyle (while replacing Zach Wilson as the team's starting signal caller) completed 27 of 38 passes for 179 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. In his upcoming start versus Atlanta, Boyle isn't a high-percentage lineup option, but he does offer an alternative for fantasy managers in QB-heavy formats as well those impacted by Week 13 byes.

Boyle completed 27 of 38 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins. He added two yards on two rushing attempts.
EDGE Analysis
Boyle mustered just 35 passing yards in the first half, which he capped with a Hail Mary attempt that resulted in a 99-yard interception return for a touchdown, stunting the momentum the Jets built up from a pick-six of their own less than a minute earlier. He finally led the offense into Miami territory for the first time in the fourth quarter, only to throw a red-zone interception. On the next drive, Boyle threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson. Prior to bolstering his stats with the game out of hand, Boyle looked even worse than Zach Wilson had prior to Wilson's benching, so perhaps Wilson or Trevor Siemian could get an opportunity to play in Week 13 against the Falcons while Aaron Rodgers remains sidelined by a torn Achilles. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, head coach Robert Saleh was non-committal on a Week 13 starting quarterback in his postgame press conference Friday.

Head coach Robert Saleh announced Monday that Boyle will serve as the Jets' starting quarterback for Friday's game against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Confirming media reports from earlier Monday, Saleh said that Boyle will step in as the Jets' top signal-caller this week as a replacement for Zach Wilson, who will be active as the No. 3 quarterback against Miami while practice-squad member Trevor Siemian handles the top backup role. While the Jets appear unlikely to turn the offense back over to Wilson anytime soon on the heels of a three-game losing streak, Boyle won't necessarily be guaranteed any starts beyond Friday, especially with a battle-tested veteran in Siemian waiting in the wings. The 29-year-old Boyle entered the professional ranks in 2018 but has made just 18 appearances (three starts) during his NFL career. Between stops with the Packers, Lions, Bears and Jets, Boyle has completed 73 of 120 passes (60.8 percent) for 5.1 yards per attempt and a 3:9 TD:INT while offering little production as a rusher.

The Jets will start Boyle at quarterback during Friday's divisional matchup against the Dolphins, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boyle replaced Zach Wilson in the second half of Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Bills, and though he completed just seven of 14 passes for 33 yards and one interception, the veteran journeyman will receive an opportunity to command New York's offense. Wilson, for his part, completed seven of 15 passes for 81 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Boyle started three of his five appearances for Detroit back in 2021, per Pelissero, and over the past two seasons he played once for the Bears and then in Sunday's contest for the Jets. In those games, Boyle has thrown for an unimpressive three touchdowns compared to nine interceptions, but this is an offense desperate for any kind of spark. If Boyle again struggles versus Miami's secondary and Jalen Ramsey, who has recorded three interceptions in his last three appearances, it's possible another quarterback change could come quick.

Boyle completed seven of 14 passes for 33 yards and one interception while rushing once for one yard after replacing the benched Zach Wilson in the second half of Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Bills. Coach Robert Saleh said after the loss that he's undecided on whether Boyle or Wilson will start against the Dolphins on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets will spend the next few days trying to figure out their Week 12 starter, though Boyle didn't help his case with a putrid performance in relief of the ineffective Wilson, who threw for 81 yards, one touchdown and one interception prior to being benched. Neither quarterback appears likely to jump-start the Jets' sputtering offense on Black Friday against Miami, while Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) isn't particularly close to returning.

The Jets signed Boyle off their practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
In the wake of Aaron Rodgers' torn left Achilles, Boyle is now in line to back up Zach Wilson under center. The Jets opted to stay in-house for the initial solution at quarterback on a short week, but it still seems likely they will add a veteran at some point. In the meantime, Boyle will operate as the No. 2 option.

The Jets are expected to elevate Boyle for Sunday's game at Dallas, Ethan B. Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Working on a short week in the wake of Aaron Rodgers' torn left Achilles, New York will stay in-house for the direct backup to Zach Wilson in his first start of the campaign. Thereafter, it seems likely the team will add a veteran quarterback at some point, but acclimation to the system may mean Boyle remains the No. 2 option for at least the next handful of games.

Boyle signed with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boyle knows offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett's system, but he failed to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. It will likely take an injury to Aaron Rodgers or Zach Wilson for Boyle to get called up from the practice squad.

The Jets released Boyle on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boyle showed steady improvement over the Jets' three preseason games, but his performances weren't enough to land him a spot on the 53-man roster. Aaron Rodgers and Zach Wilson will begin the year as the team's two active quarterbacks, while Boyle could land on the team's practice squad if he doesn't find work elsewhere.

Boyle completed nine of 10 passes for 84 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 27-0 preseason win over Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Boyle played the entire second half after Zach Wilson threw for 123 yards and one touchdown in the first half. After being picked off on his first drive in the game, Boyle led touchdown drives capped by scores of five and four yards, respectively, to tight ends E.J. Jenkins and Zack Kuntz. Boyle isn't a threat to surpass Aaron Rodgers or Wilson on the depth chart, but after New York released Chris Streveler earlier in the week, there's nobody left to challenge Boyle for the third-string quarterback spot, either.
