Armstead announced his retirement from the NFL on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Armstead will hang up his cleats after an impressive 12-year NFL career with the Saints and Dolphins. The offensive tackle was a five-time Pro-Bowler, most recently being selected as one in 2023. The Dolphins will now move forward with a new starting left tackle in 2025.

Speaking at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said the team is operating as if Armstead will not be with Miami next season, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Additionally, Armstead is expected to agree to a restructured contract that knocks his base salary from $13.3 million to the veteran minimum, allowing the Dolphins to use that money elsewhere. Armstead sure sounds like a player who is leaning toward retirement. He turns 34 years old this upcoming summer and has been unable to stay healthy for long stretches over the last several seasons. Armstead was able to start 15 games last season, but he had to leave five of those contests early due to injuries. Expect the Dolphins to heavily invest in the offensive line this offseason.

Armstead (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Armstead opened the week with consecutive DNPs due to a knee injury he picked up during the Dolphins' Week 17 win over the Browns. He was able to end the week with a limited session Friday, and he's done enough over the weekend and through pregame warmups to suit up and start at left tackle for Sunday's regular-season finale.

Armstead (knee) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Jets, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Armstead departed Miami's Week 17 win over the Browns in the first half due to a knee injury. If the starting left tackle is unable to play, Patrick Paul would continue to fill in. Armstead will be motivated to play, as the Dolphins can sneak into the playoffs with a win Sunday and a Denver loss to Kansas City.

Armstead (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Browns, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Armstead suffered a knee injury in the first half, though its not clear whether it's the same knee that he's been working through over the past few weeks. Patrick Paul will serve as the Dolphins' left tackle for the second half of Sunday's game due to Armstead's injury.

Armstead (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Armstead was sidelined for the Dolphins' Week 15 loss to the Texans after aggravating a knee injury in Week 14 against the Jets. He opened the week with consecutive DNPs, but he returned to practice Friday in a limited capacity and has progressed enough in his recovery to start at left tackle Sunday.

Armstead (knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against San Francisco, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Armstead aggravated a knee injury in Week 14 against the Jets, which forced him to be sidelined against the Texans in Week 15. He was held out of practice for the first two days of the week, but he managed to give himself a chance to play Sunday after logging a limited practice Friday. Patrick Paul got the start at left tackle in Week 15, and he would likely reprise that role if Armstead is unable to play.

Armstead (knee) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
The starting left tackle aggravated a lingering knee injury in last week's win over the Jets and was not able to practice all week. Armstead has started all 12 games he's played in this season. Patrick Paul, Jackson Carman and Ryan Hayes could see action in his place.

Armstead (knee) is doubtful for Sunday's matchup against Houston, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Armstead aggravated a lingering knee injury early in this past Sunday's win over the Jets, and though he was able to return to the contest, he logged only five offensive snaps. The issue kept the veteran offensive tackle from practicing all week, and it will also probably result in him missing Sunday's matchup. In Armstead's expected absence, Patrick Paul is likely to start.
