Redskins waived WR Terrence Austin. A seventh-round pick out of UCLA in 2010, Austin made 15 catches for 184 yards in 18 appearances. The 5'11/175 speedster will try to latch on as a slot man and potential returner elsewhere.

Terrence Austin played the second-most snaps among Redskins wideouts in Sunday's loss to the Bills. With Santana Moss (hand) sidelined, Jabar Gaffney played 49 snaps, Austin saw 37 and Niles Paul got 30. Austin, a slot receiver, ended up with two catches for 22 yards and Paul did not record a reception. Outside of Fred Davis, this entire passing game is hands off in fantasy.

The 2010 second-round pick will likely serve as the Redskins' primary slot receiver in three-wide sets going forward, but his upside is capped by his size and the Redskins' quarterback situation. He's someone to monitor more than add, even in deep formats.
