Free agent Terrell Owens said "there's no doubt I can still play." It's the same song and dance we've been going through with T.O. since he last played in the NFL in 2010. Owens says he's still in outstanding shape and can run a forty-yard dash in 4.43. T.O. hasn't received any interest from the NFL since the Seahawks released him in August 2012. That's not going to change. T.O.'s agent needs to start preparing his clients retirement papers.

The player rep for free agent Terrell Owens says he's spoken to "a bunch of teams" about finding his client an NFL home. Agent Jordan Woy conceded he's "uncertain" whether Owens will get that chance, but says the 39-year-old is "in as good a shape as he has been in recent years." Added Woy, "We've talked to a lot of teams that have said he's a great talent, we're set as of right now, but if we have injuries, we may reach back out." Owens has been staying in shape by training in Los Angeles and Miami.

Free agent WR Terrell Owens confirmed he hasn't heard from another NFL team since the Seahawks released him last August. Owens will turn 40 in December, but wants to play this season. He claims the lack of interest stems from politics. "I think a lot of it has to do with my reputation, things that I've done early in my career," he said. In reality, Owens can no longer contribute on the field. He should be getting his retirement papers prepared.

Free agent Terrell Owens reiterated his desire to play for the Patriots. "I think that's a no-brainer," Owens said. "You look at what they've done over the years. Under the tutelage of Tom [Brady] and Coach Belichick, I think the sky would be the limit in terms of what I'd be able to do. Considering my body of work and my history of playing the game." The interest isn't mutual. The Patriots are ready to move on with rookies Aaron Dobson and Josh Boyce competing at "X" receiver, while Danny Amendola occupies the "Z" position.

Free agent Terrell Owens told CSN Chicago that he wants to make his comeback with the Bears. New Bears coach Marc Trestman was San Francisco's offensive coordinator when T.O. broke into the league with the 49ers in 1996. "I played my first early years in San Francisco with [Trestman] and shortly after that, he left to do some things," said Owens, who is now 39. "To think about [Brandon Marshall] on the other side and me on one side, that's really dangerous. I'm keeping myself in shape just for any opportunity that may come about."

The Boston Herald confirms there is "nothing brewing" between the Patriots and free agent Terrell Owens. As we suspected. Owens, 39, reportedly "has been in discussion" with teams this offseason, but that sounds more like agent speak than anything. It would be a surprise if T.O. found his way into an NFL uniform again.

Free agent WR Terrell Owens was working out with Tom Brady at USC Wednesday. Owens is desperately trying to get back in the NFL, but this is not a sign that it's going to happen. He'll be 40 in December and hasn't been heard from since a three-week stint with the Seahawks in last year's training camp. Owens hasn't played in a regular season game since 2010.

The New York Daily News reports the Jets have "no interest" in signing free agent Terrell Owens. There's a "better chance they bring back Don Maynard," quipped Daily News columnist Gary Myers. Owens took to Twitter to beg the Jets for a job during Monday night's game. The story sprouted legs when coach Rex Ryan refused to rule out any option during Tuesday's press conference. This report confirms T.O. to the Jets is not going to happen.

Coach Rex Ryan didn't completely rule out signing free agent WR Terrell Owens during a Tuesday press conference. Owens made an open plea to the Jets via Twitter during Monday night's loss to the Texans. "Hey JETS!!! I'm available! I'm ready, willing & able! Call my agent [Jordan Woy] & let's make it happen," Owens tweeted. The Jets are down to three healthy wideouts right now, but Ryan seems content. "You never say never to anything," he said. "You look at your situation. I would assume we'd go with the same crew." The Jes previously brought in the likes of Jason Hill and Clyde Gates instead of giving T.O. a look.
