Quitoriano played 13 special-teams snaps during Friday's 23-20 preseason loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
After not suiting up during the preseason opener, Quitoriano played exclusively on special teams against the Titans. Despite the limited action, Quitoriano made his presence felt, forcing and recovering a fumble during a kickoff in the third quarter. Quitoriano is battling with Feleipe Franks for the third, and likely final, tight end spot behind Kyle Pitts and Charlie Woerner.

The Falcons are signing Quitoriano (calf) on Friday after hosting him for a workout, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano was limited to seven-regular season appearances with Houston in 2024 before sustaining a calf injury. He didn't record any receptions in that span. Now having proved his healthy via a workout with Atlanta, Quitoriano will spend the offseason competing to secure another reserve gig.

Quitoriano (calf) appeared in seven regular-season games in 2024 but did not otherwise show up on the box score.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano has been plagued by injury the last two seasons. He ended the 2023 campaign on IR due to a groin issue, and when he returned fully healthy for training camp, he strained his calf during the Texans' Hall of Fame Game against the Bears on Aug. 1. The Texans and Quitoriano came to an injury settlement agreement in early September, but he was brought back to Houston after being signed off Chicago's practice squad in early October. He operated as a depth tight end behind Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover, but Quitoriano suffered a knee injury in late November that ultimately caused him to be sidelined for the rest of the 2024 season. As a restricted free agent, the Texans can place a tender on Quitoriano that would allow Houston to match an offer sheet from another team.

The Texans announced Friday that Quitoriano (calf) has been downgraded to out for Saturday's divisional-round road game against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano was initially labeled as questionable for the AFC divisional round, but he won't be activated from IR in time to suit up versus Kansas City. His 21-day practice window is nearing its conclusion, so even if Houston emerges victorious over Kansas City, it's unclear whether Quitoriano will have a chance to return down the stretch during the playoffs.

Quitoriano (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's AFC divisional-round clash against Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano has been on injured reserve since Nov. 28, but he was able to practice all week and has put himself in a position to be activated from IR ahead of Saturday's playoff game. Quitoriano didn't register a target across seven regular-season games, and if he was cleared to play, he would serve as a run-blocking tight end behind starter Dalton Schultz.

Quitoriano, who is on IR due to a calf injury, was a full practice participant Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano has been on injured reserve since Nov. 28 due to a knee injury. He was designated to return to practice last Tuesday and practiced in full all week but wasn't activated ahead of Houston's wild-card win over the Chargers last Saturday. There's a clearer path to Quitoriano being activated ahead of this Saturday's divisional-round clash against the Chiefs, however, as fellow tight end Cade Stover landed on IR on Tuesday due to a fractured collarbone.

Quitoriano (calf) has been downgraded to out for Saturday's AFC wild-card game against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano, who missed the final five games of the regular season, was designated for return during the practice week leading up to Saturday's playoff game. With Quitoriano unavailable, Cade Stover and Irv Smith will operate as the backups to starting tight end Dalton Schultz.

Quitoriano (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's AFC wild-card game against the Chargers, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano missed the Texans' last five games of the regular season due to a calf injury he suffered against the Titans in Week 12. He was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday and could be activated off IR ahead of Saturday's game after logging a full week of full practices.

Quitoriano (calf) was a full participant in practice Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The tight end, who had his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve opened earlier in the day, took a big step in the right direction ahead of Saturday's wild-card matchup with the Chargers. Quitoriano was placed on IR in late November with what was originally believed to be a knee injury, though it was listed as a calf issue on Houston's Tuesday injury report. The 2022 fifth-round pick played on 96 offensive snaps in 2024 and did not catch a pass.

The Texans announced Tuesday that Quitoriano (calf) has had his 21-day window to return from IR opened.
EDGE Analysis
Quitoriano will have a 21-day window to practice without counting against the active roster, during which time he can be brought off IR if deemed healthy. That makes Saturday's wild-card round playoff game against the Chargers his first chance to retake the field.
