Lewan (knee) announced via his personal Twitter account Wednesday that the Titans have informed him of his release.
EDGE Analysis
Lewan, a three-time Pro Bowler, is now heading into his age-32 season as a free agent coming off a Week 2 right ACL tear. The 11th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, Lewan has struggled to consistently remain on the field in recent years, having played just five games in 2020 and 13 contests in 2021. Lewan's market as a free agent could heavily depend on teams' confidence in his recovery process thus far.

EDGE Analysis
Before the move, Lewan announced that he would be out for the remainder of the 2022 season via his podcast, "Bussin' With the Boys." Per coach Mike Vrabel, Dennis Daley will replace Lewan as the Titans' starting left tackle for the rest of the campaign.

Lewan (knee) announced Saturday via his podcast, "Bussin' With the Boys", that he will miss the remainder of the 2022 season.
EDGE Analysis
Lewin suffered a right knee injury in the Titans' Week 2 loss to Buffalo, and after getting a second opinion in Los Angeles in recent days, he confirmed that he won't return in 2022. The left tackle was previously limited to two games in 2020 after tearing his ACL in the same knee, and he's now appeared in just 32 regular-season games since the start of the 2019 campaign due to a suspension and multiple injuries. Head coach Mike Vrabel said Friday that Dennis Daley would step in for Lewan as the Titans' starting left tackle beginning with Sunday's game against the Raiders.

EDGE Analysis
Lewan had to be assisted by members of Tennessee's training staff as he limped off the field after going down on the team's first play from scrimmage. The Pro Bowl left tackle eventually had to be carted to the locker, leaving Dennis Daley to step in on the offensive line for the Titans.

Lewan (back) landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewan already was dealing with a back injury that forced him to miss all practices this week as well as Thursday's win over San Francisco. He's one of three Titans offensive linemen currently in COVID-19 protocols. All three will look to clear them in time for next Sunday's game against Miami.

Lewan (undisclosed) didn't start Sunday's game against the Rams and was instead spotted on the sideline with his helmet off, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewan was listed as active after battling a knee injury during the week, but he evidently didn't feel good enough to play after taking warm-ups, be that due to the knee injury or something else. Bobby Hart got the start at left tackle. Lewan not having his helmet on suggests he's unlikely to enter the game.
