Hali (neck) is listed as active for Thursday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Hali -- who notched three tackles in Week 1 -- is out there if you need him in IDP leagues, with his main impact in that regard hinging on his ability to record QB take-downs. In 2014, Hali notched 59 tackles and six sacks after combining for 20 sacks over his previous two campaigns.

Hali (neck) returned to full participation in practice Wednesday and is officially probable for Thursday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Hali's neck issue likely surfaced in Sunday's game against the Texans, but considering he was a full participant Wednesday, it seems unlikely he'll miss Thursday's contest. Assuming he's healthy, he'll search for his first sack of the season against the Broncos.

Hali (neck) was limited at Monday's practice, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hali has missed only three games in nine-plus seasons, meaning his cap in reps Monday may have been a precaution. In any case, the pass rusher is searching for his first sack of the current campaign, after managing three tackles (two solo) in Sunday's opener at Houston.

Despite having a scope on his knee during the offseason, Hali said Tuesday that he's feeling good, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports. After dealing with a knee injury for the final month of last season, Hali had some loose cartilage cleaned out. He's coming off a disappointing six-sack campaign, but the 31-year-old got more pressure than the one statistic indicates, and he should still have a few good years remaining. Still, Hali may start to lose some snaps to Dee Ford, who was selected in the first round last year.

Hali agreed to restructure his contract, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports. Hali restructured the final year of his contract, presumably taking a pay cut to avoid being released. He's 31 years old and coming off a solid but unspectacular six-sack campaign, after averaging 11.0 sacks from 2019 to 2013. With Justin Houston recently getting the franchise tag, Kansas City will return both halves of its prolific pass-rushing duo, leaving 2014 first-round pick Dee Ford without a starting job. Ford still figures to see more snaps than he did as a rookie, and Hali is more likely than Houston to cede some of his snaps.

Hali (knee) recorded two tackles (both solo) against the Chargers in the season finale. Hali had a down season in 2014 by his standards, recording just six sacks and 59 tackles (47 solo). While his tackles weren't necessarily down, the sacks were his lowest total since 2008, when he had just three. Some of it could be attributed to an injured knee that bothered him throughout the season, while his age (31) may have also played a factor. Hali has just $2.9 million guaranteed to him in 2015, but would make nearly $12 million if he makes the team. With first-round pick Dee Ford on the roster and a big contract due to Justin Houston if the team wants to keep him, Hali could end up being an offseason casualty.

Hali (knee) is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Hali got in a limited practice session Wednesday before sitting out practice completely both Thursday in Friday. While it would seem he is trending in the wrong direction, a report indicates that Coach Andy Reid expects him to play against the Steelers.

Hali (knee) recorded three tackles (all solo), one sack and four QB hits in Sunday's game against the Raiders. Hali was able to produce on defense despite getting just a limited practice session in Friday after missing the previous two days. He played just 72 percent of the defensive snaps Sunday, likely related to the injury. Assuming he didn't suffer a setback, Hali will likely play again Sunday when the Chiefs head to Pittsburgh.
