Hali agreed to restructure his contract, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports. Hali restructured the final year of his contract, presumably taking a pay cut to avoid being released. He's 31 years old and coming off a solid but unspectacular six-sack campaign, after averaging 11.0 sacks from 2019 to 2013. With Justin Houston recently getting the franchise tag, Kansas City will return both halves of its prolific pass-rushing duo, leaving 2014 first-round pick Dee Ford without a starting job. Ford still figures to see more snaps than he did as a rookie, and Hali is more likely than Houston to cede some of his snaps.
