Jets signed No. 13 overall pick DL Sheldon Richardson to a four-year contract.
The exact position Richardson will play in the 3-4 is unknown at this point, but he says he lined up "everywhere" in OTAs and minicamp practices. Our best guess is that Muhammad Wilkerson will play left end, Kenrick Ellis will man the nose, and Richardson will slot in on the right side of the Jets' defensive line.

First-round pick DL Sheldon Richardson says he's been lining up "everywhere" in Jets OTAs.
"A little end, a little (three-technique tackle), a little nose, shade, all that," Richardson said. "The only thing I haven't done yet is play rush, so I pretty much have my hand in the dirt." Richardson admits the transition from Mizzou's 4-3 scheme to the Jets' 3-4 isn't easy. "You just have to get used to what the coaches are saying and understanding what they mean and pick it up fast because it's the NFL. You don't have time for mistakes, shorter reps."

Jets first round selection DT Sheldon Richardson lined up at nose tackle for part of the first day of Jets rookie minicamp.
Coming out of college, Richardson was considered a 4-3 defensive tackle that wasn't expected to play nose, but after Friday it appears that's a possibility for him. "Well we'd move him around. Some guys will line up, depending on our call, you can have a guy at nose, you can have him at three, you can have him at five," Rex Ryan said. Richardson has the potential to be a productive fantasy option, but significant time at nose will limit his IDP value.
