Eagles claimed CB Shaun Prater off waivers from the Bengals. A 2012 fifth-round pick out of Iowa, Prater spend his first season on injured reserve with a knee injury. He'll compete for a special teams role with the Eagles. Prater is not a realistic candidate for defensive playing time.

Bengals CB Shaun Prater says his knee has been healthy since Week 10 of last season. Prater's rookie year was ended before it started as he landed on injured reserve in early-August thanks to patella tendinitis. The fifth-round pick out of Iowa will be battling for a reserve spot behind starters Leon Hall and Dre Kirkpatrick.

Bengals placed CB Shaun Prater (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season. Prater was buried on the Bengals' depth chart, and likely ticketed for the practice squad. Drafted in the fifth-round as a special teams asset, he won't be assured of a roster spot coming off a significant injury.

Bengals signed No. 156 overall pick CB Shaun Prater to a four-year contract. For a small corner (5'10/185), Prater held his own in run support as a sure tackler at Iowa. He rarely played man coverage, however. The Bengals drafted him with his outside gunner experience in mind for help on special teams.
