Free agent C Shaun O'Hara is retiring from football. O'Hara has decided to hang up his cleats after 11 years and 151 games in the NFL. Plagued by foot issues, O'Hara sat out last season after being limited to just six games in 2010. A three-time Pro Bowler, he spent seven years with the Giants, and four with the Browns.

ESPN New York expects the Jets to reach out to free agent C Shaun O'Hara if rookie C Colin Baxter falters in place of Nick Mangold (ankle) in Oakland this Sunday. The Jets will be facing two of the league's best nose tackles in Baltimore's Haloti Ngata and New England's Vince Wilfork in weeks four and five, so upgrading Baxter will be a must if he bombs in Oakland and Mangold proves to be slow healing. The Dolphins are the only team known to have worked out O'Hara after he was released by the Giants.

The Dolphins do not have imminent plans to add free agent C Shaun O'Hara, a source tells the Miami Herald. O'Hara is 34 and coming off two surgeries on his feet. The Dolphins would be silly to guarantee his contract for the entire season, even if they need a mentor for rookie C Mike Pouncey.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins remain a possible landing spot for free agent C Shaun O'Hara. O'Hara visited Miami a week ago, and is said to still be "mulling his options." The Dolphins are the only team O'Hara is known to have visited since being released by the Giants on July 26. If he's waiting on a better offer, there's a good chance he's doing so in vain.

Free agent C Shaun O'Hara will visit the Dolphins. O'Hara was limited to just six games as he dealt with injuries to both feet last season, but would be valuable insurance for rookie C Mike Pouncey if healthy. The Giants are reportedly open to re-signing their long-time starter, but he doesn't seem all that likely to return to the Big Apple.
