The Packers aren't expected to pursue adding Tannehill or another veteran quarterback after Jordan Love (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Friday's season-opening loss to the Eagles, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
EDGE Analysis
Dianna Russini of The Athletic previously indicated that the Packers had reached out to Tannehill, but Pelissero suggests that the team doesn't plan to add a veteran signal-caller at this stage. At this time, the Packers are hopeful that Love is able to return on the shorter end of an estimated 3-to-6-week recovery timeline. Green Bay appears on track to have Malik Willis start their Week 2 game against the Colts, per Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

The Packers have contacted Tannehill in the wake of Jordan Love suffering an MCL sprain during Friday's loss to the Eagles in Brazil, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since hitting free agency back in March, Tannehill has been waiting on the right opportunity, which includes a contender with a strong offensive line and a bevy of skill-position talent. Green Bay represents such a situation, and with Love set to miss 3-to-6 weeks due to his Week 1 injury, Tannehill has his first chance to join a team for the 2024 season. If the Packers and Tannehill find common ground on a contract, he'd get the chance to work with RB Josh Jacobs, WRs Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs and TEs Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave for at least a handful of games once he picks up the playbook.

Tannehill, who remains one of the more high-profile unsigned quarterbacks, has been the subject of calls from interested teams throughout the offseason but prefers to wait on an ideal opportunity before he commits to playing in 2024, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Specifically, sources have informed Rapoport that Tannehill is seeking to join a playoff contender in need of a quarterback that boasts a strong offensive line and offensive weapons. Tannehill has been keeping himself in shape by continuing to throw to receivers in case the right opportunity presents itself and he's compensated accordingly. The Packers boast a solid offensive line plus a deep stable of receivers and seemingly have a need for a proven veteran under center after Jordan Love (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Friday's season-opening loss to the Eagles that will likely keep him out 3-to-6 weeks, but it's unclear if the team is interested in Tannehill or if the 36-year-old would be willing to accept what would presumably be only a short-term run as Green Bay's starter.

Tannehill, who has to yet to sign with a team this offseason, is still weighing his option as training camps begin. "Maybe a guy goes down on a team and [the team] gives me a call, you never know what's going to happen. So, just keeping the options open," Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given Tannehill's 11 years of starting experience and the NFL's near maniac rush to get quality quarterbacks -- even highly paid backups -- on the roster over the past few years, it's surprising that the veteran hasn't yet found a new home. It seems clear that the 36-year-old is holding out for hope at competing for a starting job, but at this point in the offseason it remains to be seen if any such opportunity will arise. Tannehill lost his starting job midway through the 2023 campaign to Will Levis as the Titans opted for a younger signal caller amidst a woeful 6-11 season, but Tannehill did return for the team's final three games with Levis injured, failing to throw for over 170 yards in any of the aforementioned games.

Tannehill completed 17 of 26 passes for 168 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 28-20 win over the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Tannehill served as Tennessee's primary quarterback for the third consecutive game and helped the team to an upset win. He got the offense off to a hot start, leading a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive on the opening possession, which concluded with a 28-yard touchdown toss to Tyjae Spears. Tannehill began the third quarter with his second score, hitting DeAndre Hopkins from six yards away. It was a solid performance in what will almost certainly be his final game with the Titans, though Tannehill should be able to find a new deal as a backup for another franchise this offseason.

Tannehill will serve as the Titans' starting quarterback for Sunday's season finale against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tannehill will pick up his second start in three games, with Will Levis dealing with a foot injury and slated to be the Titans' emergency No. 3 quarterback Sunday, per Wyatt. After starting the Titans' first six games before succumbing to a high-ankle sprain and then losing the job to the rookie once he was healthy, Tannehill has seen extended action in both of the last two contests will Levis sitting out Week 16 entirely and exiting early in Week 17. Tannehill has been efficient (73.9 percent completion rate for 7.0 yards per attempt and no turnovers) since returning to the lineup, but he hasn't thrown for any touchdowns between those two games and has accounted for 37 scoreless rushing yards.

Coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that Tannehill would start Sunday versus the Jaguars if Will Levis (foot) is unable to suit up, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tannehill started for Levis in Week 16 when the latter was absent due to a sprained right ankle, and the former subbed in again the Levis when he exited early from this past Sunday's loss at Houston. Over those two performances, Tannehill completed 34 of 46 passes for 320 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions while taking two carries for 37 yards.

Tannehill completed 18 of 26 pass attempts for 152 yards and gained 37 yards on two rushing attempts in Sunday's 20-17 loss to Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Tannehill made his first start for the Titans since Week 6 in place of the injured Will Levis (ankle) on Sunday. The converted wide receiver put his athleticism on display on two healthy scrambles, but that's where the good news ends from Tannehill's day. The veteran signal-caller held the ball too long in the pocket and was coverage-sacked twice during the Titans' final offensive drive. The pair of mental miscues cost his team its last timeout and eliminated any potential for victory Sunday. Given Tannehill's poor play, Levis figures to reclaim the starting job in Tennessee if he is healthy enough to play against Houston next Sunday.

Tannehill will serve as the Titans' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Seahawks with Will Levis (ankle) inactive for the contest, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tannehill will pick up his first start since Week 6 with the Titans deciding to hold out Levis for the matchup with Seattle after the rookie signal-caller sprained his right ankle late in last week's 19-16 overtime loss to the Texans. The 35-year-old Tannehill ceded the starting role to Levis after he completed 62 percent of his passes for 7.1 yards per attempt and a 2:6 TD:INT as the Titans limped out to 2-4 start to the season. Though Tannehill has a strong track record to fall back on compared to most backup quarterbacks around the league, his poor form from earlier this season doesn't inspire the most confidence in his ability to turn in a useful performance during the fantasy playoffs. Tannehill isn't helped by the fact that the Titans have fielded one of the shakier offensive lines in the NFL this season.

Tannehill is expected to start Sunday's game against the Seahawks, as Will Levis (ankle) isn't expected to play, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tannehill's in line to make his first start since Week 6. Prior to losing the starting job to Levis, Tannehill threw two touchdowns and six interceptions. Official word on Levis' status will be available at least 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff in Tennessee.
