Harris (shin) is retiring from the NFL, 9News Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite having one year left on his current contract with the Steelers, Harris will hang up the cleats for good. He appeared in just 62 out of a possible 115 games for five different teams due to various injury concerns and most recently ended the 2016 season on injured reserve due to a shin bruise that "swelled to the size of a baseball" and later developed an infection. Presumably having endured enough physical pain for his liking, Harris will now pursue a career as a co-host for a sports radio show in the Denver area.

Harris (shin) is contemplating retirement, Cameron Wolfe of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris still has one more year left on his current contract with the Steelers, so it's fair to wonder if the shin injury that landed him on injured reserve last October is still a problem. If he decides against retirement -- and is fully recovered -- Harris will likely enter the 2017 campaign as one of the Steelers' top reserves at tackle.

Harris has yet to play since injuring his shin earlier this week. To fill his void, the Steelers promoted Matt Feiler to the active roster.

Harris is questionable for Week 5's tilt with the Jets on Sunday with an undisclosed injury.
EDGE Analysis
Look for more updates to come later in the week. Harris is reserved a tackle for the Steelers, so even if he is ruled out for Sunday, the offense shouldn't take too much of a hit.

Harris signed a two-year, $3.9 million contract with the Steelers, Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old Harris started all 16 games for Denver last season, giving him 70 career starts. With LT Kelvin Beachum still a free agent, the Steelers may have Harris in mind as a possible replacement, though his contract is more in line with typical money for a key backup. If the team sticks with its current group, Marcus Gilbert will presumably man one of the tackle spots, with Harris and Alejandro Villanueva competing for the other starting job.

Harris will start at right tackle against the Broncos.
Harris will take the place of Jeff Allen as the starting right tackle following Allen's season-ending surgery earlier this week. He will likely take the spot for the next three games, and the team will go from there with Donald Stephenson returning from suspension in Week 5.

Chiefs signed RT Ryan Harris.
Harris, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos. He's appeared in 78 career games, making 39 starts mostly as a right tackle. In K.C., he'll push Donald Stephenson for the starting job opposite Eric Fisher and compete with J'Marcus Webb for swing-tackle duties. Harris made three starts for Houston in 2013.

Free agent OT Ryan Harris worked out for the Dolphins on Monday.
Harris, 29, was the mystery fourth lineman, joining C Samson Satele, G Daryn Colledge, and C Steve Vallos. Harris is mostly a right tackle who has started 39 games in his career. The Dolphins are reportedly going to sign Colledge, but Harris and Satele drew positive reviews at the workout and may also be added.

Texans re-signed OT Ryan Harris to a one-year contract.
Harris, 28, played in 16 games last season, starting two. Pro Football Focus graded him out positively as a pass blocker and in the screen game, but as a slight liability against the run. Harris is an athlete who's natural fit is in a zone blocking scheme. He'll likely serve as solid depth behind Derek Newton at right tackle.
