Former Bengals and Cowboys SS Roy Williams appears to have retired, taking a sideline reporter job for Oklahoma Sooners football games. He played collegiately at Oklahoma. Williams, 32, says he turned down a contract offer from an NFL team that plays on the West Coast in order to return to OU. The No. 8 pick in the 2002 draft, Williams' pro career ends after five Pro Bowls and 11 forced fumbles in nine seasons. A devastating hitter at strong safety, Williams' struggles in coverage became more apparent later in his career as the NFL came to be more of a pass-happy league.
