Griffin completed 11 of 21 pass attempts for 96 yards and an interception Sunday against the Steelers. He also carried eight times for 50 yards in the 28-10 win.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin struggled to connect with his receivers, completing just over half his passes while averaging 4.6 yards per attempt. He did his best Lamar Jackson impression as a runner, however, and gashed the Pittsburgh defense for 6.3 yards per carry. Griffin also took three sacks and turned the ball over once, so, despite the victory and flashy rushing stats, it wasn't exactly an ideal performance. The veteran will return to the bench during the postseason and should see the field again only in the event of a blowout or an injury to Jackson.

Griffin will start the Ravens' Week 17 matchup against the Steelers after coach John Harbaugh ruled out Lamar Jackson for the regular-season finale, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Sunday's victory in Cleveland, Baltimore has locked down the No. 1 seed in the AFC side of the postseason, so Harbaugh won't take any chances with the team's franchise signal-caller. Griffin hasn't seen much more than spot duty this season in six appearances, completing 12 of 17 passes for 129 yards, one touchdown and one interception while turning 12 carries into 20 yards.

Griffin completed all six of his passes for 55 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Dolphins. He added four rushing attempts for nine yards.
EDGE Analysis
The Ravens brought in Griffin in the fourth quarter and he led a pair of drives, including a scoring drive that ended in a touchdown pass to Mark Andrews. It was Griffin's first game action since last season after he missed the preseason with a thumb injury.

Head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Griffin is "fully cleared" of his thumb injury, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin originally sustained the hairline fracture to his right thumb in late July. Now healthy, the 29-year-old can be prepared to back up starter Lamar Jackson for Week 1 against Miami.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh still expects Griffin (thumb) to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin has yet to appear in any preseason action after suffering a hairline fracture in his right thumb during a late-July open practice, but he's expected to be available as starter Lamar Jackson's primary backup in a Week 1 matchup against the Dolphins. The aforementioned Harbaugh has not relayed his plans regarding a decision to potentially keep two or three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster, but rookie Trace McSorley just went off for 203 passing yards and three total touchdowns in a 26-15 preseason victory over the Eagles.

Coach John Harbaugh expects Griffin (thumb) to be available for the Ravens' Week 1 matchup in Miami, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin suffered a hairline fracture in his right thumb at an open practice at M&T Bank Stadium on July 27, but he has since resumed throwing. On multiple occasions, including Saturday, the Ravens have expressed a belief that he'll be healthy in time for the regular season. He could dispel all doubters by making an appearance by the end of the preseason, but the Ravens likely will continue to pursue a cautious approach to ensure the veteran signal-caller is active behind starter Lamar Jackson on Sept. 8.

Griffin (thumb) was seen throwing passes at practice Saturday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin was wearing a glove on his throwing hand, but it's certainly an encouraging note to see the veteran quarterback attempting passes just a week after sustaining a hairline fracture in his right thumb. Griffin is still expected to be back for Week 1, but will likely miss the entire preseason as he continues to rehab from the injury

The Ravens expect Griffin (thumb) to be ready for the start of the regular season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com agrees with Rapoport, hinting that the Ravens likely would've signed someone better than Joe Callahan if they truly were worried about Griffin's availability. The initial timeline estimate of 4-to-8 weeks may have been overstated.

Griffin sustained a hairline fracture to his right thumb at Saturday's practice that will require 4-to-8 weeks of recovery, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin banged his hand on the helmet of a Ravens defender during the session, a play that may keep him out for the entire preseason slate. If his rehab hits the longer end of the given timetable, his status for Week 1 could be impacted, assuming he isn't a roster casualty on cut-down day (Aug. 31). After starter Lamar Jackson, rookie Trace McSorley is the only other QB in camp. The Ravens invested a sixth-round pick in April on McSorley, so he'll have a chance to stake a claim to the backup job over the next month-plus.

The Ravens re-signed Griffin on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
After moving on from longtime signal-caller Joe Flacco, Baltimore will keep Griffin around as a veteran sounding board for Lamar Jackson, who officially took the reigns of the offense in Week 11 last season and didn't let go. Griffin himself acted as the active backup for Jackson during the second half of the schedule and made three brief appearances. With the development of Jackson in mind, Griffin will receive spot duty and little else in 2019.
