Ayers (ankle, calf) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran defensive end battled through his ankle ailment in Week 9, generating a season-high tackle total that included one sack in the process. While his total lack of participation in the opening session of Week 10 prep is somewhat concerning, the Buccaneers are likely being cautious with the veteran's body as they enter the second half of the season. The next two days' practice reports should shed much more light on Ayers' prospects for suiting up Sunday against the Jets.

Ayers (ankle) tallied six tackles (five solo) -- including one sack -- and forced a fumble in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran defensive end fought through his sore ankle to post his second sack of the season, both of which have come in the last three games. Ayers' forced fumble was also his first of the season and rounded out a productive afternoon in which he also notched a season high in tackles. The 32-year-old does bring plenty of pass-rushing ability to the table in addition to being solid run-stopper, so he remains a serviceable IDP option in deeper formats.

Ayers (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 9 tilt against the Buccaneers, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran pass rusher will be available to get after Saints quarterback Drew Brees and attempt to slow down the vaunted two-headed rushing attack of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Ayers wasn't added onto the injury report until Friday -- a day in which he was still able to turn in a limited session -- so it doesn't appear that the ailment will be overly restrictive.

Ayers has an ankle injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ayers dealt with back and knee injuries throughout October and was a late addition to the injury report this week as a limited participant Friday. There's no indication on the severity of the ankle injury at this point, and Ryan Russell and Darryl Tapp are likely to see increased workloads if the 2009 first-round pick cannot play Sunday.

Ayers (knee) practiced fully on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 7 tilt against the Bills, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ayers had been limited Thursday, so Friday's upgrade in activity level has him trending in the right direction to suit up Sunday against the Bills. The veteran defensive end followed a similar practice pattern during Week 6 prep due to a back injury before taking the field against the Cardinals and playing 47 snaps.

Ayers (back) is active for Sunday's Week 6 tilt against the Cardinals, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ayers was back up to a full practice by Friday, so his status isn't too surprising. He'll look to help collapse the pocket against the largely stationary Carson Palmer on Sunday afternoon.

Ayers (back) was a full participant in Friday's practice but is listed as questionable for the Week 6 tilt against the Cardinals, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Ayers was able to progress from limited participation on Wednesday and Thursday is certainly a step in the right direction and seemingly ups his chances of playing against the Cardinals. The veteran defensive end has logged 12 tackles (five solo) through the four games he's participated in this season. If he's unable to suit up, Noah Spence would presumably see additional snaps.

Ayers (back) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran defensive end battled through a knee ailment in Week 5 to post a pair of tackles versus the Patriots. He's now apparently dealing with a back ailment, but the fact he was able to at least log limited participation gives him a fighting chance to take the field versus the Cardinals on Sunday. The week's remaining practice reports should serve to shed light on Ayers' status for the Week 6 road tilt.

Ayers (knee) racked up five tackles (three solo), including 1.5 for loss, in Sunday's 25-23 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Ayers shook off the knee ailment that had him questionable heading into the weekend to post his best single-game solo tackle total in three contests. The nine-year veteran has yet to record a sack on the campaign, but after compiling 16 over the prior two seasons, it's just a matter of time before he successfully gets to a quarterback.
