Gronkowski (ribs) is expected to play Sunday at New England after X-rays taken on his ribs Monday were returned negative, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gronkowski left the field for a spell Week 3 against the Rams following a hit to his ribs. He was able to return to action and finish the game with four catches (on seven targets) for 55 yards, and a follow-up examination one day later has cleared him of any fractures. Still, the Buccaneers may limit his workload this week to ensure he's good to go for his return to Foxborough, Mass.

Gronkowski recorded four receptions on seven targets for 55 yards in Sunday's Week 3 loss to the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Gronkowski tied for second on the team with seven targets despite briefly heading to the locker room after taking a hard hit to his back. He's held a consistent role in Tampa Bay's offense and has now commanded at least five targets in every game this season. While he failed to reach the end zone for the first time on the campaign, he drew several targets in Rams' territory and once inside the 10-yard-line. Gronkowski will draw a matchup against his former team in New England in Week 4.

Gronkowski (undisclosed) returned to Sunday's road game versus the Rams, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gronkowski took a big hit to his lower back and ribs in the third quarter, remaining on the ground for a spell before visiting the sideline tent and eventually the locker room. He underwent X-rays, but apparently the issue isn't serious enough to impede his ability to play.

Gronkowski (undisclosed) went to the locker room during the third quarter of Sunday's road game against the Rams, Lindsay Jones of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gronkowski took a hard hit to his lower back from the Rams' Terrell Lewis after a catch and remained on the turf before making his way to the sideline tent. Per Albert Breer of SI.com, Gronkowski is undergoing X-rays to determine the nature and extent of the injury. Behind Gronkowski, the Buccaneers have O.J. Howard, Cameron Brate and Deon Yelder on the active roster.

Gronkowski brought in four of five targets for 39 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 48-25 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Through two games, Gronkowski looks to have turned the clock back to early last decade, already recording 12 receptions for 129 yards and Sunday's pair of scores and looking like a matchup problem for many linebackers and safeties. His established rapport with Tom Brady helped the legendary tight end get his feet back under him in 2020 while he worked back from a year out of football and also learned Bruce Arians' offensive system, and he's unsurprisingly hit the ground running in 2021. With the stingy Rams' cornerbacks on the schedule in Week 3, Gronkowski could play a key role as a pass catcher again in that road showdown.

Gronkowski brought in all eight of his targets for 90 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-29 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
The perennial Pro Bowler turned back the clock to his Patriots heyday in the wild win, even flashing some of his trademark chemistry with Tom Brady when he correctly adjusted his route in response to a blitz in the third quarter, resulting in a nifty 11-yard touchdown grab. Gronkowski had also notched a two-yard scoring catch in the second quarter and appeared as nimble and unencumbered in his route-running as he usually did during his solid 2020 comeback season. Gronk will look to keep up the strong work in a Week 2 home matchup against the Falcons on Sunday, Sept. 19.

Gronkowski has been connecting regularly with long-time battery mate Tom Brady throughout training camp and closed out Thursday's final joint practice with the Titans by recording multiple receptions, Carmen Vitali of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
By all accounts, the perennial Pro Bowler looks considerably better than he did a year ago at this time, when he was still trying to get his legs back under him after a season in retirement. Gronkowski and Brady have been in synch throughout camp, and the two combined to torment the Titans with a number of passes at various depths of target, including a short touchdown on a slant against Tennessee starting free safety Kevin Byard. Gronkowski left no doubt he still had plenty left in the tank last season with his solid 45-623-7 line, and if the way he's looked this summer is any indication, he could be poised to notably improve on those numbers in 2021.

The Buccaneers and Gronkowski agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
A reunion between the two was the expected outcome this offseason as the Buccaneers attempt to keep as much of the Super Bowl LV champions intact as possible. Gronkowski will rejoin position mates Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard after posting a 45-623-7 line on 77 targets last season in his return from a one-year retirement.

Gronkowski, who played the 2020 season on a $10 million deal, is a strong candidate for a return to the Buccaneers next season if he's willing to continue his career, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The multi-time Pro Bowler ultimately proved to be an ideal fit in his return from a one-year retirement, unsurprisingly meshing well with Tom Brady while operating as a superior blocker for the running game. Gronkowski's 45-623-7 regular-season stat line paled in comparison to what he posted during his Patriots heyday, but that appeared to be largely a byproduct of working in more of a complementary role within a talent-laden pass-catching corps. Laine notes that working heavily in favor of a Gronkowski return is the fact he brings plenty of stability at tight end to a team that hasn't been able to count on the skilled but oft-injured O.J. Howard (Achilles) to remain on the field for a full season.

Gronkowski brought in six of seven targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns during the Buccaneers' 31-9 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Following a very quiet postseason, Gronkowski reemerged in the offense at precisely the right time, as he'd frequently done in Super Bowls past with the Patriots. The veteran tight end got loose several times downfield against Chiefs linebackers and safeties, notching eight- and 17-yard scoring receptions in the first half. With Sunday's tally, Gronkowski pushed his Super Bowl career catch total to 24, the most by any tight end in the history of the NFL's title game. Gronkowski played the 2020 season on a one-year contract, but after producing a solid 45-623-7 line during the regular season and then showing he had plenty left in the tank Sunday, there's a good possibility he's back with the Buccaneers in 2021.
