The Chargers placed Lovato (undisclosed) on the reserve/retired list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Lovato is seemingly stepping away from his NFL career after appearing in nine games for the Chargers this season. Josh Harris (undisclosed), who was designated to return from injured reserve last week, will likely take over as the team's long snapper following Lovato's retirement.

Lovato signed a one-year contract with the Eagles on Friday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The long-snapper joined the Eagles in 2016 after starter Jon Dernbos suffered a broken wrist, but wound up winning the job outright which eventually led to Dernbos being traded to begin the 2017 season. The one-year contract is expected to be near the veteran minimum.

Lovato (concussion) was listed as a full participant Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The Eagles' injury report was simply an estimation Thursday, but Lovato's inclusion as a full participant is a good sign for his Week 12 availability if he's able to clear the league's concussion protocol in time.

Lovato exited Sunday's game against the Saints and is being evaluated for a head injury.
EDGE Analysis
Lovato exited Sunday's tilt against the Saints early in the fourth quarter. The long snapper's absence is unlikely to significantly impact Philadelphia's offense Week 11, given that the Eagles face enough of a deficit to warrant going for touchdowns on every drive.

The Eagles traded veteran long-snapper Jon Dorenbos to the Saints Monday, as Lovato has won the role for the upcoming season, Bob Ford of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lovato has big shoes to fill, as he takes over for the Eagles' longest tenured player. An injury to the veteran long-snapper in the latter portion of the 2016 season opened up the opportunity for Lovato, an undrafted free agent in 2015. The Old Dominion product was working for his fathers' sub shop when he got the call to workout for the Eagles. He will now look to make his fourth NFL stop stick.

Lovato was signed by the Eagles on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Lovato joins Philadelphia after fellow long snapper Jon Dorenbos broke his wrist during Sunday's loss to the Redskins. As a result, he should immediately play a special teams role in Sunday's game against the Ravens.
