Jones (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones suffered his injury in Week 5 and wasn't able to practice all week, save for a team walk through on Friday. At this point his status is up in the air. If he's unable to go look for Walt Aikens to draw the spot start.

Jones is dealing with a groin injury and is questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Steelers, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear exactly when the injury occurred, but his practice availability throughout the rest of the week should give us a better indication of his status for Sunday. Jones has started all five games this season, notching 46 tackles and 0.5 sacks and would be a tough blow to the Dolphins' secondary if he's ultimately held out. Walt Aikens would likely be the main beneficiary of playing time in his place.

Jones (knee) is active for Thursday's Week 4 tilt against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was limited in practice all week, making it relatively unsurprising that he's been listed as active for Thursday. If he's limited at all look for Walt Aikens to see some extra reps.

Jones (knee) is considered questionable for Thursday's tilt against the Bengals, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones practiced in limited fashion throughout the week leading up to the Week 4 matchup. If he's unable to give it a go, Walt Aikens would be next in line to start at strong safety.

Jones notched 10 tackles Sunday against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Jones now has recorded at least nine tackles in each game this season, and he has 31 of them in three games. He posted a career-high 135 tackles in 2015, and he's certainly looking as if he can improve upon that number in his seventh NFL season. He also should eventually add some interceptions to his numbers, as he picked off eight passes over the last two seasons. He's an excellent IDP option at the safety position.

Jones was all over the field Sunday with 12 tackles, but Miami still lost to Seattle, 12-10.
EDGE Analysis
Jones led the Miami defense in tackles, but it wasn't enough in the end. The Dolphins have what could be one of the better defenses in the NFL, and if Jones can hold down the safety position, this shouldn't be his last game with double digit tackles.

Jones returned to practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After skipping the first day of the Dolphins' mandatory minicamp Tuesday, with said absence accompanied by reports that Jones is looking to redo his contract, the safety rejoined his teammates Wednesday. In any case, Jones relayed to the Miami Herald that his brief holdout is behind him, while adding that he'll report for the start of training camp. He'll thus reprise his role as the Dolphins' starting strong safety this coming season, on the heels of recording 135 tackles and five picks in 2015.

Jones plans to skip the Dolphins' mandatory minicamp as he continues to holdout for a new contract, Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones didn't take part in any of the Dolphins' voluntary offseason workouts in an attempt to get the team to renegotiate his contract, and he appears willing to raise the stakes in his demands. He'll face a fine upwards of $25,000 for each of the three practices he misses this week, and faces even larger fines if he chooses to holdout into training camp and the regular season. Jones is currently on track to make just over $14 million over the last two years of his contract, but none of that money is guaranteed, which is the primary reason he wants to renegotiate the deal. Coming off a season in which he recorded 135 tackles and five interceptions, both career highs, and played in 97 percent of Miami's defensive snaps, Jones is one of the team's best defenders and a top IDP player.

Jones is unhappy with his current contract and said he won't participate in optional offseason activities unless he gets a new deal, reports Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.
EDGE Analysis
Easily the best player in Miami's porous 2015 secondary, Jones finished the season with 135 tackles, five interceptions and two sacks in 16 games. He has two years left on his contract and is already among the league's highest-paid safeties, but he likely hopes to gain more security, as the remainder of his contract contains little-to-nothing in the way of guaranteed money. Set to earn base salaries north of $7 million in both 2016 and 2017, the 28-year-old Jones is unlikely to continue his holdout once mandatory team activities begin. He's still one of the top IDP options among all NFL defensive backs.

Jones finished the 2015 season with 135 tackles, two sacks, and five interceptions.
EDGE Analysis
The Dolphins may have had all sorts of problems on both sides of the ball, but Jones wasn't one of them. Those are Pro Bowl numbers and you could certainly do worse for your fantasy team. Jones may have sneaked under the radar at draft time this season because of his PED suspension in 2014, but that is unlikely to be the case next year.
