Despite the NFL's revision of its drug policy Tuesday night, Jones will not be among the players immediately reinstated from his four-game suspension, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports. Since the exact parameters of the new policy have not been formally announced, it's not yet known why Jones (nor teammate Dion Jordan) are eligible for immediate reinstatement, unlike other players around the league. With Jones out until the Week 6 tilt with the Packers, the Dolphins will continue to trot out Jimmy Wilson as their starting free safety.

The source says Jones won't report to any of the Fins' upcoming three OTA practices "unless contract talks begin." The Dolphins are also missing Randy Starks, who signed his one-year franchise tender but would prefer a long-term commitment. Starks will be back by training camp. The Fins' bigger problem is Jones, who clearly has a bone to pick after GM Jeff Ireland spent over $200 million in max contractual worth this offseason, and didn't include him.
