White agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Washington on Thursday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
White is moving on from Tampa Bay after four seasons and now joins Jacory Croskey-Merritt atop Washington's wide open backfield. A versatile pass-catching specialist also capable of contributing between the tackles, White's style of play makes it easy to project him as a productive complement alongside Croskey-Merritt, a 2025 seventh-round pick who compiled 805 rushing yards and eight scores across 175 carries (4.6 YPC) and 17 regular-season appearances as a rookie. The Commanders will remain a candidate to add to the backfield in free agency and/or April's draft, but White has found a landing spot that could provide a boost for his fantasy prospects, especially in PPR formats, for the 2026 season.

White rushed seven times for 23 yards and brought in both targets for 18 yards in the Buccaneers' 16-14 win over the Panthers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
White was a distant runner-up to Bucky Irving in carries for the Buccaneers on the afternoon, with the latter logging a career-high 26 rush attempts. Like Irving, White averaged just 3.3 yards per carry, and he complemented that with equally modest receiving yardage. White put together just a serviceable regular season despite the fact he had the potential for expanded opportunity with Irving missing seven games with shoulder and foot injuries, with the former finishing with 572 rushing yards and four touchdowns at 4.3 yards per carry while adding a 40-218-0 line on 45 targets across 17 games. White would remain in a complementary role should the Buccaneers play next weekend in the wild-card round by virtue of the Saints tying or defeating the Falcons on Sunday.

White turned two carries into 10 yards and caught both of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
White was an afterthought on offense in Week 17, churning out his fewest rushing yards in a game this season while the two carries were tied for his second lowest total on the year. The running back was able to reel in at least one pass for the 16th consecutive contest this season. With Bucky Irving back operating as the team's primary option in the backfield, White has turned into an unappealing fantasy option.

White rushed five times for 45 yards and brought in both targets for 15 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-20 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
White finished with 9.0 yards per carry thanks almost exclusively to a 39-yard run he rattled off early in the second quarter. The versatile veteran back has averaged 4.8 yards per carry or more in five of the last six games, but he has logged double-digit totes just twice in that span while Bucky Irving continues to serve as the clear leader of the ground attack. White should continue in a similar change-of-pace role in a Week 17 road matchup against the Dolphins next Sunday.

White rushed once for 20 yards and brought in his only target for six yards in the Buccaneers' 29-28 loss to the Falcons on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
White surprisingly was limited to his lowest touch count of the season, just four days after gaining an efficient 53 yards on 11 carries against the Saints. The veteran back was even out-touched by Sean Tucker, who logged three more carries and recorded a rushing touchdown. The usage behind Bucky Irving has been a bit haphazard over a limited sample this season, so White could revert to a more typical workload in a Week 16 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 21.

White rushed 11 times for 53 yards and secured one of two targets for two yards in the Buccaneers' 24-20 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran back gained just two fewer yards than backfield mate Bucky Irving on four less carries, putting together his third effort of over 4.8 yards per carry in the last four games. White continued to see a reduced pass-catching role, however, as he's now been held to two catches and 11 yards or fewer in three of the last four games. White does appear to be the clear No. 2 back over Sean Tucker despite the latter's touchdown Sunday, so the former retains value in deeper PPR formats heading into Thursday night's Week 15 home matchup against the Falcons.

White rushed twice for seven yards and brought in all three targets for 22 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-17 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He also recovered a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
White saw his workload on the ground diminish significantly with the return of Bucky Irving from a seven-game absence due to foot and shoulder injuries. With Irving now back in the fold and seemingly ready to handle a full workload, White and Sean Tucker, who also logged two carries Sunday, appear set to compete for leftover touches moving forward, capping the fantasy upside of both backs.

White rushed the ball seven times for 38 yards in Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Rams. He added one reception on one target for four yards.
EDGE Analysis
White maintained a key role in the Buccaneers' backfield with Bucky Irving (shoulder) remaining inactive. He served as the change of pace to Sean Tucker, though White was the more efficient back thanks to lengthy runs of 16 and 12 yards. Irving reportedly has a realistic chance to return in Week 13, leaving White's future role unclear.

White is set to maintain a larger role Sunday against the Rams, as Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports that Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) won't play.
EDGE Analysis
White has been outperformed by Sean Tucker over Tampa Bay's past two games, but both running backs are expected to remain involved this weekend. Irving hasn't played since Week 4, and White has averaged 15.7 touches during Irving's absence, though Tucker led the Buccaneers with 21 touches compared to White's 12 in Week 11 against the Bills.

White rushed 10 times for 51 yards and brought in two of three targets for 11 yards in the Buccaneers' 44-32 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
White played a clear second fiddle on the ground to backfield mate Sean Tucker, who logged a season-high 19 carries and turned them into 106 yards and two rushing touchdowns. However, White had his share of productive gains against the Bills' suspect run defense, finishing with his second-highest rushing yardage total of the season. White also has double-digit carries in six straight games, but he could see his workload take a hit if Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder) is able to make his long-awaited return from injury on the road against the Rams in Week 12.
