Not much doubt that the linebacker would play after logging a full practice on Wednesday. Onwuasor has seen increased defensive reps throughout the season, averaging 61 snaps over the past two contests. The knee injury may limit that number Thursday night, in which case Kamalei Correa could see some increased action in the game.

The second-year linebacker out of Portland State finished second on the team in tackles behind only C.J. Mosley in Sunday's blowout loss. Onwuasor played a season-high 40 snaps, surpassing Kalamei Correa, who was on the field for just 23 plays. It's too early to tell whether this trend will continue, but Onwuasor could be a consideration in IDP leagues if he does indeed surpass Correa for the starting inside linebacker job next to Mosley.

Onwuasor signed an exlusive rights free agent tender with the Ravens on Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

The Portland State product was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster in October, where he ultimately finished out the season. He finished the year with 21 tackles and forced fumbles in 11 games. Onswuasor projects to provide depth at inside linebacker as well as playing a special teams' role.

EDGE Analysis

Onwuasor is expected to have an immediate role on special teams. Also, with C.J. Mosley doubtful and Albert McClellan questionable, the rookie linebacker could potentially provide some depth at inside linebacker.
