Onwausor officially signed his tender with the Ravens on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Onwuasor was given a second-round tender from the Ravens, and agreed to sign said tender Monday. In 16 games last season, the 26-year-old racked up 59 tackles (37 solo), five sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles. With fellow linebacker C.J. Mosely electing to join the Jets this offseason, Onwuasor projects as a starting linebacker for Baltimore next season.

Onwausor received a second-round tender from the Ravens on Friday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With fellow inside linebacker C.J. Mosley set to become an unrestricted free agent, Baltimore won't take any chances with its other starter at the position. The Ravens would receive a second-round pick in the unlikely event Onwausor receives an offer sheet they don't want to match. The 2016 UDFA had 59 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 16 games last season, with his strong work as a blitzer and cover man making up for a lack of size (227 pounds).

Onwuasor recorded 59 tackles (37 solo), 5.5 sacks, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one interception across 16 games in the 2018 season.
EDGE Analysis
Although his tackle count took a big hit from his 90-tackle performance in 2017, Onwuasor still compiled another productive season in the league's best defense. He was fourth on the team in tackles while only playing 43 percent of the defensive reps. He also improved on reaching the quarterback in his third season, as his 5.5 sacks were also good for fourth-highest on the team. The linebacker is now slated to become a free agent along with C.J. Mosley, Za'Darius Smith and Terrell Suggs. It's unlikely that the Ravens can retain all four linebackers, which could lead to a big pay day for Onwuasor elsewhere.

Onwuasor recorded nine tackles (eight solo), including two sacks, and a forced fumble in Sunday's win over the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Onwuasor's game Sunday was perhaps his best of the season. His nine tackles were a season high and it was his second multi-sack game of the year. Through 15 games Onwuasor has 5.5 sacks, 3.5 of which have come in the last four games. He'll look to continue the strong play into Week 17, when the Ravens will look to lock up the division with a win over the Browns.

Onwuasor recorded two tackles (one solo), including 0.5 sacks, and a pass defensed in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Onwuasor's sack Sunday gives him 3.5 on the season, a career-high. He's seen his role decrease dramatically this season, averaging just under 26 snaps per game after averaging over 40 last season. On the year he has 45 tackles (25 solo). He'll look to finish the year strong over the last two weeks, starting with Saturday's Week 16 matchup with the Chargers.

Onwuasor recorded two tackles, both solo, and a sack across 23 defensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Onwuasor recorded his first tackle since Week 6 and now has three total on the season. The third-year pro plays a rotational role on the defensive line, logging 41 percent of the defensive snaps this season.

Onwuasor had eight tackles (three solo) in Thursday's loss to the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Onwuasor had an uneventful Week 1 where he had only a single solo tackle, but rebounded a bit with Thursday's effort. The 26-year-old played all but one defensive snap against Cincinnati and should continue to see plenty of opportunities, especially if C.J. Mosley (knee) is forced to miss any time.

Onwuasor signed his exclusive-rights tender on Monday, according to the league's official transaction log.
EDGE Analysis
Onwuasor is coming off a productive year in Baltimore in which the young linebacker racked up 90 tackles and one sack while receiving over 600 defensive snaps. Barring any unforeseen offseason additions, Onwuasor seems to have a clear path to a starting role ahead of the 2018 campaign.

Onwuasor finished the year with 90 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery in 2017.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being undersized and undrafted, Onwuasor took over a starting role in the Raven defense in his second professional season and was a key contributor. Onwuasor was expected to take a backseat to Baltimore's second-round selection from 2016, Kalamei Correa, but he outworked his counterpart in training camp and earned a regular role starting in Week 3. Even with Baltimore mixing and matching personnel, Onwuasor still managed to rack up 90 tackles. Onwuasor showed enough in 2017 to where the Ravens certainly don't need to view inside linebacker opposite C.J. Moseley to be a major area of need heading into the draft.

Onwuasor has 50 tackles and one sack through 10 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
The second-year linebacker is coming off his best performance of the season against the Packers as he racked up 10 tackles and recorded a fumble. Onwuasor has notched at least six tackles in four of his last five games, and he's playing a strong enough percentage of the snaps to where those sort of numbers are sustainable. He and the Ravens will host Houston on Monday.
