Free agent QB Pat White has signed with the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL.
White "made" the Redskins' 53-man roster last season, but was cut after Week 1. He visited the Bills and Raiders in October, but couldn't latch on with either quarterback-needy team. Although White is still only 28, his NFL career is almost certainly over.

Free agent QB Pat White is leaving Buffalo to make his scheduled Tuesday workout with the Raiders.
The Bills are going to roll with Thaddeus Lewis and Jeff Tuel for now. White is hoping to get a shot to land as Terrelle Pryor's backup in Oakland.

Free agent QB Pat White is scheduled to work out for the Raiders Tuesday.
The Raiders clearly aren't satisfied with current backups Matt McGloin and Matt Flynn. But White, who impressed during the preseason while with the Redskins, might not even make it to Oakland. He's still in Buffalo and is a candidate to serve as Josh Freeman's backup until E.J. Manuel (knee) returns.

The Bills are expected to work out free agent QB Pat White on Saturday.
It's the first known interest he's received interest since being released by the Redskins in Week 2. White has experience in zone-read and up-tempo schemes and could be a fit for Buffalo's offense. The Bills are in the market for a veteran quarterback with E.J. Manuel (LCL sprain) expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

Redskins released QB Pat White.
The move clears a roster spot for kicker John Potter, who was signed on Saturday. White is behind Rex Grossman for third-string quarterback duties and is not eligible for the practice squad. The Redskins are expected to re-sign him if he clears waivers.

QB Pat White has made the Redskins' 53-man roster.
It's a compelling story. White was a complete disaster after the Dolphins took him in the second round of the 2009 draft, subsequently falling out of the league for three seasons. But he showed more polish this preseason, going 15-of-28 passes (53.5%) for 149 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He added 12 rushes for 83 yards and two scores. For now, the Redskins are keeping both White and Rex Grossman behind RG3 and Kirk Cousins.

CBS' Jason La Canfora expects the Redskins to keep Pat White as their No. 3 quarterback.
White has had a surprisingly decent preseason, completing 15-of-28 passes (53.5%) for 149 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He's added 12 rushes for 83 yards and two scores. As La Canfora notes, the Redskins can cut Rex Grossman and would still have a good shot to get him off the street down the line. If they cut White, one of the league's many quarterback-needy teams might take a shot.

The Washington Post notes that fourth-string QB Pat White's biggest problems in camp have been his confidence and anticipation.
Beat writer Mike Jones has observed that White holds onto the ball too long and lacks ideal arm strength. He's been thoroughly unimpressive through the first few days of training camp. White has little chance of making the Redskins, and his preseason play will determine if he gets a shot with another team.

The Washington Times predicts Rex Grossman will "easily" beat out Pat White for the Redskins' third-string quarterback job.
The Skins figure to keep three quarterbacks this year because Robert Griffin III is coming off major knee surgery. White is not eligible for the practice squad, and Grossman has far more experience in Kyle Shanahan's offense. Whether White would be an attractive NFL waiver claim will depend on preseason play.

Redskins QB Pat White said he's willing to play other positions if he needs to do so in order to make the team.
"Whatever the coaches ask of me, I will do it with the best of my abilities," White said. "My heart's set on being a quarterback, but I am willing to play other positions and will do whatever it takes to help the team." Back in 2010, he was strongly opposed to playing receiver for the Dolphins, but he now knows that he's not much of a quarterback. White's accuracy was reportedly an issue in spring practices. He was "borderline terrible" with Miami.
