Freiermuth recorded three receptions on five targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth was curiously uninvolved for most of the game, but he was easily Pittsburgh's most productive pass catcher. He logged a 23-yard reception just before halftime to set up a field goal and then recorded long gains of 29 and 11 yards on the Steelers' final drive as they attempted to tie the game. Freiermuth should have the chance to step up again in Week 18 in a pivotal matchup against Baltimore with DK Metcalf (suspension) still sidelined and Darnell Washington (arm) likely to be out.

Freiermuth secured all four of his targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 29-24 win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth recorded 45 receiving yards -- his second-highest total of the season -- during last week's win over the Dolphins, and while he wasn't quite as productive in Week 16, his four receptions against the Lions marked his second-highest tally of the year. While Freiermuth has been slightly more productive than usual over the past two weeks, his fantasy production remains limited as he continues to share work with Darnell Washington and Jonnu Smith.

Freiermuth caught three of five targets for 45 yards in Monday night's 28-15 win over the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth was able to reel in three or more passes for the eighth time this season while his five targets and 45 receiving yards were his highest marks since Week 7. The tight end has had limited production this season like many of the Steelers' pass-catchers while splitting time at his position with Darnell Washington, Jonnu Smith and Connor Heyward. Freiermuth will look to build off of Monday's performance when the team travels to face the Lions in Week 16.

Freiermuth secured two of three targets for nine yards during Sunday's 27-22 win over the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth led the Steelers' tight ends in playing time, taking the field for 60 percent of the team's offensive snaps. However, he had minimal fantasy production for a second consecutive week. The 2021 second-rounder had put together a string of seven consecutive performances with double-digit receiving yards following Pittsburgh's Week 5 bye, but he was held without a target last week against Buffalo before this week's disappointing performance. Darnell Washington exited Sunday's Week 14 matchup due to a concussion, but Freiermuth would still be battling Jonnu Smith for snaps and targets if Washington is forced to miss additional time.

Freiermuth wasn't targeted during Sunday's 26-7 loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth played just 40 percent of the team's offensive snaps Sunday, which ranked third among the team's tight ends. Although he had recorded double-digit receiving yards in each of his last seven appearances, he was held without a target for just the second time this season in Sunday's Week 13 loss. Across 12 games this season, Freiermuth has secured 26 of 32 targets for 298 yards and four touchdowns.

Freiermuth secured all three of his targets for 19 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-28 loss to Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Although Freiermuth continued to split work at tight end in Week 12, he scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter to bring the Steelers within three points. The touchdown was his fourth of the season, but he's now been held under 20 receiving yards in back-to-back weeks. Freiermuth's fantasy potential this season has been dependent on his ability to reach the end zone, and he's secured 26 of 32 targets for 298 yards and four scores over his first 11 appearances in 2025.

Freiermuth secured his lone target for 19 yards during Sunday's 34-12 win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Although Freiermuth ended his four-game streak of multi-reception games Sunday, he was somewhat efficient on his lone target against the Bengals. Although Freiermuth has remained inconsistent in recent weeks, his fantasy production has certainly been better than it was over his first five appearances of the year. Across his last five outings, Freiermuth has secured 15 of 18 targets for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and he's been a more reliable option than teammate Jonnu Smith during that time.

Freiermuth secured all three of his targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 25-10 loss to the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth was on the field for 50 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Sunday, which ranked second among the team's tight ends. However, he was somewhat involved in the passing game and recorded his second-highest yardage total of the season in the loss. Freiermuth has logged at least three receptions in each of his last four appearances, securing 14 of 17 targets for 184 yards and three touchdowns during that time.

Freiermuth secured three of four targets for 27 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-20 win over the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth didn't practice Wednesday due to a quad injury but returned as a full participant a day later and didn't appear to have any limitations in Sunday's Week 9 win. He's had at least three catches in each of his last three appearances, securing 11 of 14 targets for 151 yards and three touchdowns during that time.

Freiermuth (quadricep) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Freiermuth returned Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's practice. He's poised to suit up and play his usual role Sunday against the Colts as part of a crowded Steelers tight end room that also devotes significant playing time to Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington.
