Spence signed with the Bengals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Originally drafted by the Buccaneers in the second round back in 2016, Spence has already spent time in Tampa Bay, Washington and New Orleans. The well-traveled young vet has 7.5 sacks through 41 career games and will look to help bolster the Bengals' pass rush.

Spence was waived by the Saints on Monday, Jeff Nowak of WWL Radio Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Working his way back from a torn ACL that wiped out his 2020 campaign, Spence was trying to make the conversion from defensive end to linebacker in order to make the Saints roster. It appears that experiment is over, at least for the time being, as New Orleans trims its roster in order to meet league requirements before Tuesday's deadline.

Spence (knee) has been placed on the Saints' Non-Football Injury Reserve list, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spence tore his ACL preparing for training camp and was placed NFI-R list in order to make room on the 90-man roster for another player. The 26-year-old recorded three tackles (one solo) and a sack across seven games with the Saints last season. He is without a timetable for return at this point.

Spence signed with the Saints on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Saints signed Spence late in the 2019 campaign but let him go to free agency this offseason. Spence is now back with the team, though the terms of his deal have yet to be disclosed. The 2016 second-round pick has registered two sacks over the last three seasons after racking up 5.5 sacks as a rookie in 2016.

Spence signed with the Saints 53-man roster Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spence spent seven games with Washington earlier this year, posting three tackles and a sack in a reserve role. The Saints expect 2018 first-round pick Marcus Davenport (foot) to be done for the year, so Spence will add depth on their defensive front.

The Redskins waived Spence on Tuesday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spence couldn't carve out a consistent role with the Redskins this year, as he averaged just 10.4 defensive snaps per game en route to three total tackles. If the 25-year-old clears waivers, he may land on the team's practice squad.

Spence signed with the Redskins on Wednesday, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
A second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Spence barely played with the Buccaneers last season, so now he'll have a fresh start with Washington. He'll simply add depth to their linebacker corps, and Spence's main contributions should be on special teams.

General manager Jason Licht indicated that Spence could be used as a linebacker in 2019, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tampa Bay is transitioning to a 3-4 base defensive scheme under new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, and the relatively undersized Spence would be a poor fit up front in the trenches in such a system. That means Bowles could take Spence's hand off the turf and allow him to focus on setting the edge from an upright stance. Spence still has a lot of work to do in order to carve out a bigger role than he had in 2018 -- Spence logged more than 10 defensive snaps on two occasions -- but there's potential for him to significantly rebound from a three-tackle, zero-sack season.

Spence, eager to add some weight following the end of last season, put on 35 pounds this offseason, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The recipe for the added pounds was headlined by devouring 9-10 meals per day during the offseason. The body transformation is aimed at making Spence a more complete football player in which he can serve as a three-down defensive end rather than a pass rushing specialist. The first live action glimpse of a more complete Spence can be seen during Thursday's preseason game against Miami.

Noah (shoulder) recently indicated that he's 100 percent healthy and his shoulder has regained full range of motion, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The beginning of Spence's professional career has been derailed by a reported four different shoulder dislocations. The 2016 second-rounder didn't need to miss a game after one such dislocation during his rookie year, but Spence experienced another in Week 2 of last season and was ultimately placed on injured reserve by late-October after trying to play through the pain. In an effort to put this recurrence behind him, this past winter Spence opted to undergo a Latarjet procedure that is designed to treat recurring shoulder dislocations. The defensive end now can focus on carving out a role in the pass-rush rotation ahead of the 2018 campaign. With offseason acquisitions Jason Pierre-Paul and Vinny Curry being brought in as the likely starters, Spence will presumably begin the year in a backup role.
