There are fears that Kasa, who was carted off the field Tuesday, suffered a torn ACL, CSN's Scott Bair reports.
That's based on preliminary reports, but if Kasa did indeed tear his ACL, the Raiders' TE depth would be further taxed, with David Ausberry currently sidelined following a knee procedure.

Kasa was carted off the field at Tuesday's practice with an apparent knee injury, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The Raiders were already painfully thin at tight end with David Ausberry out with a knee injury, so the team could be motivated to sign a player if Kasa's injury proves serious. Kasa suited up for all 16 games last season, but only made one catch -- a nine-yard touchdown reception.

Raiders TE Nick Kasa sustained a concussion in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Jets.
Kasa, a sixth-round rookie, has been buried on the depth chart this season. He's still seeking his first career NFL catch while playing behind the likes of Mychal Rivera and Jeron Mastrud.

Raiders signed sixth-round TE Nick Kasa to a four-year contract.
Kasa (6-foot-5 7/8, 269) is a willing blocker, and he also displayed good speed (4.71 forty) at the Combine. The college defensive end-turned-tight end caught 26 passes for 399 yards and three scores in a year-plus of tight end work at Colorado. Kasa has a chance to earn the starting job in training camp.

Coach Bruce Allen referred to the Raiders' starting tight end spot as "wide open."
Rookies Nick Kasa and Mychal Rivera are competing with underwhelming incumbents David Ausberry and Richard Gordon. We can safely say that there won't be any kind of Brandon Myers emergence out of this group. If the Raiders can get quality blocking out of the position, they'll be thrilled.
