Bosa (neck) was limited to individual drills during Tuesday's training camp practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa was held out of practice prior to sitting out of the 49ers' second preseason game at Las Vegas with neck soreness, and it still appears to be ailing him ahead of Saturday's preseason game versus the Chargers. As long as he's still sidelined, Sam Okuayinonu will be a contender for first-team reps on the edge.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Thursday that Bosa is dealing with neck soreness and could be back at practice next week, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa was held out of Thursday's training camp practice due to his neck issue. It doesn't look like he'll play against the Raiders on Saturday, but if he returns to practice next week as Shanahan suggests, then Bosa could be available to suit up for the 49ers' preseason finale against the Chargers on Saturday, Aug. 23. Bosa was limited during the second half of the 2024 campaign due to oblique and knee injuries, and he finished the regular season with 52 tackles (33 solo), including 9.0 sacks, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery over 14 games.

Bosa finished with 52 tackles (33 solo), including 9.0 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble across 14 starts in 2024.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa didn't live up to the lofty expectations set in previous seasons despite providing well-rounded statistics. The 2022 DPOY didn't sniff that honor this year after dealing with an oblique injury that cost him three games of action. Bosa didn't get rolling again until Week 17, when he produced a pair of sacks against Detroit. With the 49ers missing the playoffs, the elite edge rusher will have a full offseason to return to full strength before running things back in 2025.

Bosa (knee) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa appears to have recovered from his knee injury in time to suit up Sunday, as he began the 49ers' week of practice with consecutive DNPs before upgrading to a full session Friday. The All-Pro defensive end has appeared in 13 games this season, recording 52 total tackles, including 9.0 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble. With Bosa back at full health, he's expected to wreak havoc on the Cardinals' offensive line and cause problems for Kyler Murray in Week 18.

Bosa (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa had previously been dealing with oblique and hip issues in recent weeks, so the knee injury appears to be a new one for the star edge rusher. With San Francisco eliminated from playoff contention and Brock Purdy (elbow) already out for Week 18, it wouldn't at all be shocking to see Bosa not play in Sunday's season finale against Arizona.

Bosa (hip/oblique) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa logged a LP/DNP/LP practice week while working through hip and oblique injuries, but the veteran pass rusher has done enough to be cleared for Sunday's game. He registered four tackles (two solo) during the 49ers' Week 15 loss to the Rams.

Bosa (hip/oblique) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa appeared to be trending toward not playing in Sunday's contest after downgrading from a limited practice session Wednesday to a DNP on Thursday. The Ohio State product then practiced in a limited capacity again Friday, giving himself a chance to take the field Week 16. If he's unable to play through his hip and oblique injuries Sunday, Robert Beal (ankle, questionable) or Yetur Gross-Matos will likely start opposite Leonard Floyd.

Bosa (oblique/hip) was a non-participant at the 49ers' practice Thursday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa was able to participate in a limited capacity to open the week Wednesday, taking a step backwards in his activity level just a day later. With the 49ers unlikely to make the postseason, the team will likely be very conservative with their superstar edge rusher. If Bosa can't go in Week 16, Yetur Gross-Matos and Robert Beal would stand to see an increase in workload Sunday versus the Dolphins.

Bosa (oblique/hip) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Bosa returned from a three-game absence to play in the 49ers' Week 15 loss to the Rams this past Thursday, finishing with four tackles (two solo) while playing 47 defensive snaps. He should be able to play against the Dolphins on Sunday unless he downgrades to a DNP over the next two days.

Bosa (oblique/hip) is active for Thursday night's matchup with the Rams, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
This ends a three-game absence for the four-time Pro Bowler and 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, who accumulated 36 tackles (24 solo), including 7.0 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in his first 10 games of 2024. Bosa was listed as a non-participant on the 49ers' first two practice reports of the week and a limited participant Wednesday, so his snap count in Thursday's game will be worth monitoring.
