Lions signed CB Myron Lewis. The third-round bust was waived by the Bucs last week. The Lions have one of the league's more unsettled secondaries, but Lewis won't be competing for more than a reserve/special teams role. He's not particularly likely to crack the 53-man roster.

Bucs waived DB Myron Lewis. A huge disappointment as the 67th overall pick in the 2010 draft, Lewis never earned more than bit duties in three seasons with Tampa Bay, and was also a non-factor on special teams. He may generate light interest on waivers.

The Bucs are hoping new DBs coach Tony Oden can get something out of former third-round pick CB Myron Lewis. Lewis was selected No. 67 overall in the 2010 draft, but he has been a complete and utter bust since entering the league. The 25-year-old has recorded just 19 tackles, three pass breakups, and zero interceptions over the course of three seasons. Lewis has the prototypical size at 6-foot-2 and 203 pounds that most teams covet, but his toughness and compete level have been subjects of concern. He's expected to get one more chance this summer.

Bucs 2010 third-round pick Myron Lewis is in danger of missing the final cut in Tampa. Lewis has faded "significantly" since a fast start to training camp, and UDFA Leonard Johnson played ahead of him in the Bucs' third preseason game. No longer on scholarship under Greg Schiano's coaching staff, Lewis may need a big preseason finale to make the 53. NFL final cuts take place on Friday.

The Bucs no longer view CB Mylon Lewis as a starting-caliber player. The Bucs have been "a little disappointed" in Lewis because he's struggled to return from injuries and hasn't played well enough when healthy the past two seasons. Lewis will be limited to sub-packages going forward.
