Remmers (knee) signed a contract with the team's practice squad Monday with the expectation that he'll join the team's active roster after a week or two, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Remmers played four games for the Chiefs before being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury in Week 10 last year. As a result, the 33-year-old has been working his way back this offseason, but he received a full medical clearance before joining up with New York, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports. Remmers started 85 games while playing with multiple teams dating back to 2015, and he should help provide veteran depth to the Jets' undermanned offensive line.

Remmers (knee) is making progress and feeling better according to head coach Andy Reid, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Remmers was placed on IR on Nov. 13 with the injury. With Lucas Niang (kneecap) expected to be done for the season, the return of Remmers would be a boost to the Chiefs' offensive line. Until Remmers is ready to return, if he does at all this season, Andrew Wylie will continue to start at right tackle.

Remmers (knee) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Remmers was able to clear the protocols hurdle needed to return to the field, but he still needs to prove his knee is healed enough to play again this season. Remmers has been on IR since Nov. 13, so he's already passed the minimum three-week stay needed.

The Chiefs placed Remmers (knee) on their reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Remmers is currently stuck on the Chiefs' injured reserve with a knee injury that he's been dealing with since early November. Expect this illness to have a minimal impact on Remmers' chances of returning. Andrew Wylie will likely continue starting in place of Remmers.

EDGE Analysis
Lucas Niang drew the start in place of Remmers in Week 9, but he suffered an injury to his ribs during the 13-7 win over the Packers and will also be sidelined for Week 10. Andrew Wylie will likely be the next man up at right tackle against the Raiders on Sunday.

Remmers (back) was seen practicing in pads Thursday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Remmers started 10 games for the Chiefs last season, but he will likely be in a depth role this season. However, it's definitely good to see him back in action as he should be the Chiefs' main backup at the offensive tackle positions.

Remmers is day-to-day with back spasms, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
The extent of Remmers' back spasms is unclear, but the Chiefs will likely be cautious with their current starting right tackle, as he dealt with a lingering back issue toward the end of the regular season last year. Kansas City has completely revamped its offensive line this offseason, adding Orlando Brown, Joe Thuney and Creed Humphrey, after allowing 10 QB hits during their Super Bowl loss to the Buccaneers. Lucas Niang and Prince Tega Wanogho are likely to see more reps during training camp if Remmers continues to miss time.

Remmers signed a one-year $3.5 million contract with the Chiefs on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Remmers became the Chiefs starting right tackle last year after 2018 All-Pro Mitchell Schwartz aggravated a back injury Week 6 and was forced to sit out the remainder of the season. Remmers and the entire Kansas City offensive line were dominated by Tampa Bay's front in the Super Bowl, surrendering three sacks and an eye-popping 10 QB hits. The Chiefs may not be done surveying starting options just yet, but Remmers will be penciled in at right tackle for now.
