Bengals placed G/C Mike Pollak (knee) on the active/PUP list. Pollak avoided being placed on PUP when the Bengals put nine on the list Monday, leading many to believe Pollak was recovered from his knee issue. It doesn't appear that way. We'll consider Pollak week-to-week. The more time he misses, the more opportunities rookie Russell Bodine will get as the starting center.

Bengals G/C Mike Pollak (knee) is 100 percent for training camp. Pollak's spring absence was described as "rest." He's expected to beat out fourth-round C Russell Bodine for starting duties in the middle. Pollak has missed 22 games over the past two seasons, so his health is a major question mark.

Bengals G/C Mike Pollak (knee) said he hopes to be 100 percent at the start of training camp. Pollak is sitting out OTAs with a knee issue. The missed time has allowed rookie Russel Bodine to get the majority of first-team snaps at center, but Pollak remains the favorite to start come Week 1. Pollak has missed 22 games the past two years due to injuries, so his durability is a concern.

Mike Pollak is expected to be Bengals' starting center. Kyle Cook was Cincinnati's center last season but was merely average as a pass blocker and got pushed around in the run game. Pollak made five starts at right guard in 2013 and can play all over the interior line. He's a good pass protector but has missed 22 games the past two years. Pollak will face competition from fourth-rounder Russell Bodine, but Pollak is viewed as the favorite.

Bengals re-signed OG Mike Pollak. The 2008 second-rounder appeared in eight games last season, starting five. The former Colt was surprisingly effective after a shoulder injury limited him to just one game in 2012. Pollak could open 2014 as a starter if LG Clint Boling isn't recovered from his torn ACL.

Panthers placed G/C Mike Pollak (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve. Pollak has missed all but one game so far in 2012 and hasn't played since Week 1. The former second-rounder was signed in the offseason after starting 41 games for the Colts from 2008-11. Pollak was an interior line backup and is a free agent after the season. CB Ron Parker was signed off the practice squad earlier on Saturday.

Panthers reportedly signed G/C Mike Pollak, formerly of the Colts. The 2008 second-rounder has started 41 of 58 games the past four years, losing his job to former Arena Leaguer Kyle DeVan in 2009 and Jeff Linkenbach at mid-season last year. Pollak has been adequate as a pass blocker but ineffective as a run blocker in his four-year career. He could compete for the left guard vacancy created by Travelle Wharton's release.
