Davis signed a one-year contract with the Ravens on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Baltimore explored signing other free agent running backs earlier this offseason, but the team passed on those options and only brought in rookie sixth-round pick Tyler Badie via the 2022 NFL Draft. Davis' arrival provides the Ravens with a proven veteran option while J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) work their way back from ACL tears. Davis was outplayed by Cordarrelle Patterson with the Falcons last season, but perhaps Baltimore's scheme will give the 29-year-old better opportunities for success. Back in 2020 with the Panthers, he racked up 1,015 scrimmage yards and eight total touchdowns in 15 games.

The Falcons will release Davis (ribs) on Monday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Falcons will save $2.5 million against the cap by moving on from Davis, who was quickly displaced by Cordarrelle Patterson as Atlanta's preferred option on the ground in 2021 after inking a two-year, $5.5 million deal last offseason. Another team may view the 29-year-old Davis as a decent depth option, but the Falcons appear set to proceed with fifth-round rookie Tyler Allgeier or veteran Damien Williams as the top complement to Patterson.

Davis (ribs) rushed six times for 30 yards and caught all three of his targets for minus-2 yards during Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Saints. He also lost two fumbles.
EDGE Analysis
Davis led the Falcons in rushing attempts and yards before leaving the game with a rib injury. In his first season with the Falcons, he finished with 138 rushes for 503 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 44 receptions and 259 yards and a score through the air. The veteran running back signed a two-year deal with Atlanta before the 2021 campaign and is expected to return to a similar role next season.

Davis injured his ribs during Sunday's game against the Saints, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Before his departure, Davis put together an ignominious stat line composed of six carries for 30 yards, three catches (on three targets) for minus-2 yards and two lost fumbles. With Davis out of the lineup, Cordarrelle Patterson and Qadree Ollison are the Falcons' options out of the backfield.

Davis rushed eight times for 42 yards and a touchdown while bringing in one of two targets for 15 yards in the Falcons' 29-15 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis' rushing yardage total paced the Falcons on the afternoon and was his second-highest tally in that category since Week 5. The veteran has been more efficient on the ground in recent weeks with 4.6 yards per carry over his last five contests, but his modest volume while splitting the rushing workload with Cordarrelle Patterson is likely to cap his fantasy upside again in Week 18 versus the Saints.

Davis rushed seven times for 28 yards and brought in his only target for seven yards in the Falcons' 20-16 win over the Lions on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis and Cordarrelle Patterson logged an identical number of carries in a game in which neither back distinguished themselves much despite a favorable matchup. Davis' sparse role in the passing game was also a disappointment after he'd logged just a sole target in Week 15, rendering his fantasy outlook rather bleak for a very tough Week 17 road matchup against the Bills.

Davis rushed six times for 21 yards and failed to bring in his lone target in Sunday's 31-13 loss to San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Davis saw his usage drop back to single digits in terms of touches after getting 15 last week. Cordarrelle Patterson (11 carries for 18 yards) also struggled as the Falcons abandoned the run game in the second half after falling behind big to the 49ers. Davis requires a favorable game script and high efficiency on the limited touches he gets in order to have fantasy value, so he should be treated as a fringe option heading into a Week 16 matchup against Detroit.

Davis rushed 11 times for 44 yards and secured five of six targets for 42 yards in the Falcons' 29-21 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
For a change, Davis actually had more success than backfield mate Cordarrelle Patterson on the ground, and he outpaced the versatile veteran on the pass-catching front by a wide margin as well. It's the type of production fantasy managers expected from Davis heading into the season, when it appeared he would fill a true lead-back role for the Falcons under new coach Arthur Smith's scheme. While Patterson's emergence and Atlanta's spotty run blocking has prevented that from happening, Davis does now have a 15-76-1 line on the ground and 9-79 tally through the air over the last pair of contests, giving him some momentum heading into a critical Week 15 road battle versus the 49ers.

Davis rushed four times for 32 yards and a touchdown and brought in all four targets for 37 yards in the Falcons' 30-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis ceded clear lead-back duties to Cordarrelle Patterson, but he ended up turning in a much more efficient performance than he typically does with a bigger workload. The veteran also scored his first rushing touchdown since Week 5 on a nifty 17-yard scamper just after the midway point of the first quarter. Davis' rushing volume is difficult to predict week to week, but with a steady role in the passing game that includes three straight multi-catch efforts, he has value in deeper formats going into a Week 14 road battle against the Panthers.

Davis rushed five times for 16 yards and caught three of four targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) returned from a one-game absence to lead Atlanta's rushing attack with 108 yards and two touchdowns, while Davis and Wayne Gallman (four carries for 19 yards) split the leftover scraps. Davis matched his forgettable season average of 3.2 yards per carry in this one, and he'll be tough to trust in Week 13 against the stingy Tampa Bay run defense.
