Davis signed with the Saints on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis had options, according to Garafolo, as he initially agreed to sign with New Orleans' practice squad before the Lions called to sign him to the active roster. Instead, he's sticking with the Saints and joining the 53-man roster. Davis has 122 career regular-season games under his belt and appeared in 15 with the Commanders last season.

Davis (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday night's contest against the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Davis suffered a shoulder injury while tackling running back Bijan Robinson on Atlanta's first possession of the game. In the cornerback's absence, Kevon Seymour is a top candidate to see an increase in workload in Washington's secondary.

The Commanders and Davis agreed to terms on a contract Monday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis provides Washington with an experienced cornerback to help replace the void left by Kendall Fuller, who recently inked a deal with the Dolphins. The 29-year-old is coming off a mixed 2023 campaign in which he was benched at multiple points and allowed a career-high 13.8 yards per completion and 9.0 yards per target, as Rhim notes. He could compete for starting snaps with Benjamin St-Juste, while 2023 first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes will likely get another crack at a No. 1 role.

Davis compiled 62 tackles (52 solo), 10 passes defensed and one interception in 17 games with the Chargers during the 2023 season.
EDGE Analysis
For a second consecutive season, Davis found himself benched at various points of the campaign, but he play well enough down the stretch to maintain his starting role retain a starting spot by Week 18. The Chargers have little proven depth at corner beyond Asante Samuel, so the team could make retaining Davis -- a pending unrestricted free agent -- a priority this offseason. The 29-year-old has started games in each of the past four seasons, but he's often been the preferred corner for opposing teams to target and has produced just six interceptions during that span.

Davis tallied six tackles (five solo) in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
After working exclusively on special teams in Weeks 12 and 13, Davis has since started each of Los Angeles' past four contests. His six stops Sunday were fifth-most on the team and tied for his highest mark since he made eight tackles against Las Vegas in Week 4. Davis' performance Sunday pushed his season tackle total to 62, two shy of the career-best mark he set in 2020.

Davis recorded eight tackles (all solo) in Sunday's 24-17 win over Las Vegas.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old was the second leading tackler for Los Angeles this past Sunday, trailing only Khalil Mack. He's now one tackle short of being the team's leader on the year, recording 25 tackles and three pass breakups through the first four weeks. Davis has been a solid corner in the Chargers' secondary that has struggled this year, giving up over 329 passing yards per game, ranking dead last in the NFL.

Davis participated in the first of the Chargers' 10 voluntary OTAs on Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis suffered a pectoral injury in the Chargers' wild-card loss to the Jaguars last season and was unable to return to the game. However, the cornerback appears to be fully recovered from the issue as he is participating in OTAs this week. As long as he remains healthy, Davis should have a significant role in the team's secondary for the 2023 campaign.

Davis sustained a pectoral injury during Saturday's wild-card contest in Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Davis took some friendly fire from Chargers linebacker Kenneth Murray on a tackle in the third quarter and remained on the turf for a spell before heading to the sideline. If he's unable to return, Ja'Sir Taylor will fill in for Davis at outside cornerback opposite Asante Samuel.
