San Francisco Police will not file charges against Michael Crabtree for his alleged role in a January 14 sexual assault.
"The San Francisco Police Department - Special Victims Unit completed and submitted a thorough investigation of the allegations against Michael Crabtree," the SFPD's statement reads. "Following a review of all the evidence, my office has determined that no charges will be filed against Michael Crabtree at this time." Crabtree was initially accused of assaulting a woman in a hotel room the morning after San Francisco's Divisional Round win over Green Bay. Two witnesses told police that Crabtree "didn't assault anyone."

Michael Crabtree caught six balls for 57 yards in the 49ers' NFC Championship Game win over the Falcons.
The 49ers tried to scheme Crabtree open on quick screens and slants, but the Falcons did a great job of tackling and refused to let up chunk yardage after the catch. He was held to 12 yards on three catches until a beastly early fourth-quarter reception of 33 yards with defenders draped all over him. Crabtree proceeded to fumble at the goal line on a would-be touchdown two plays later, getting stripped by Falcons CB Dunta Robinson. Luckily for Crabtree, the 49ers forced a three-and-out on Atlanta's next possession and squeaked out a 28-24 win.

Michael Crabtree is active and will start on Sunday versus the Falcons in the NFC Championship game.
Crabtree was questioned by San Francisco Police late this week in his connection to an alleged sexual assault last weekend, but he traveled with the team to Atlanta and was never in serious doubt to miss the game. The 49ers inactives: QB Scott Tolzien, LB Cam Johnson, S Trenton Robinson, RB Jewel Hampton, DT Tony Jerod-Eddie, OG Joe Looney, and DT Ian Williams.

ESPN's Adam Schefter has been informed by a 49ers source that Michael Crabtree is "highly, highly doubtful" to be charged in the alleged sexual assault investigation.
There isn't a whole lot of information on the case other than the alleged incident took place in a hotel room last weekend after the 49ers' win over the Packers in the Divisional Round. Crabtree later willingly cooperated with San Francisco Police and was questioned on Friday before hopping on the plane with his teammates and traveling to Atlanta for Sunday's NFC Championship, in which he is fully expected to play in.

Appearing on NFL Network's GameDay Morning, Jeff Darlington reported that Michael Crabtree is fully expected to play in Sunday's NFC Championship game versus the Falcons.
This coincides with what Albert Breer reported on Saturday, and there is no new news to shed on the alleged sexual assault investigation. Crabtree was questioned by San Francisco Police on Friday, but he made the trip with the team to Atlanta. Although the case could be weighing heavily on Crabtree's mind, it's not going to affect his game-day availability. The 49ers and Falcons kick off at 3:00 ET.

NFL.com's Albert Breer confirms the 49ers fully expect Michael Crabtree to be available for Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
Crabtree is already with the team in Atlanta, and it doesn't appear there will be any new developments in the SFPD's sexual assault investigation over the weekend. Although the case has the potential to be a massive distraction, it's not going to affect Crabtree's availability. There should be new developments by Monday or Tuesday.

Despite San Francisco Police's sexual assault investigation involving him, Michael Crabtree is currently in Atlanta set to play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
Police allege the assault occurred in a San Francisco hotel early Sunday, following the 49ers' Saturday night Divisional Round win over the Packers. Crabtree has cooperated fully, police confirm, and agreed to be available for future questioning. He hasn't been detained or arrested. "The 49ers take such matters very seriously," GM Trent Baalke said in a statement. "We will have no further comment at this time as the legal process is ongoing."

KTVU-TV in Oakland reports police are investigating Michael Crabtree for an alleged sexual assault.
The TV station got the info from San Francisco P.D., so it's reliably sourced. The allegation couldn't come at a worse time for the 49ers, set to travel to Atlanta for Sunday's NFC Championship game. Crabtree has been the hottest receiver in the NFL, averaging a 7.3/109.5/1 stat line over the past six games. Our early guess is the investigation will not keep Crabtree out of the lineup for Sunday's game.

Michael Crabtree racked up nine catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns as the 49ers outgunned the Packers 45-31 in the Divisional Round.
Crabtree opened the game by letting down his quarterback, falling on a route as Colin Kaepernick's first pass was picked off by Packers RCB Sam Shields and returned for a 52-yard touchdown. Crabtree atoned with a whale of a game, ripping apart Green Bay's defense underneath and over the middle with explosive after-catch ability. Crabtree has come into his own late in his fourth NFL season, with a playing style that reminds of Isaac Bruce. He'll enter next week's NFC Championship with 44 catches, 657 yards, and six touchdowns over his last six games.
